20.01.2022 I dye the raffia I use in my baskets myself, using eco friendly, sustainable practices... The first image is of a recent batch dyed in my organic indigo vat, second was dyed with madder root, third with oak galls (with a little rust & vinegar to modify slightly), and last with eucalyptus (also with a little rust and vinegar to modify slightly).

13.01.2022 It’s been a while since I woven a dilly bag, it’s nice to be back into the rhythm of making some string, making some loops, making more string, making more loops, and so on... This one is by special request using raffia I have naturally dyed with oak gall...

13.01.2022 I’ve been working on my basketry skills since my last post, and have now added lids and handles to my repertoire, along with trying out some more eco dyeing ideas.

13.01.2022 I've been super busy today updating my shop, adding some new items and revising some older ones... I currently have a small collection of cyanotype prints, baskets, slow stitching, needlefelt and ecoprints available for sale (see page about section for link)!

12.01.2022 I’ve also been practicing my basketry skills over the past few months, these are a few of the baskets I’ve created (I also eco dyed the raffia myself).

12.01.2022 I have just listed this eco dyed raffia coiled basket for sale, see page about section for link to shop to view this and other creations currently available...

05.01.2022 William Bagley is the founder of Tanran Reiki (the style of Reiki I am trained in and that I train others in). He trained my Master, Sonja, and I have spoken with him many times, and taken part in many of his online meditations. Sadly he has lost his house and belongings yesterday in the fires in Ashland Oregon (USA). I ask past students and clients to consider donating to support him through this difficult time.... Jen xo

05.01.2022 On the drying rack today - raffia naturally dyed with oak gall (with a dash of rusty vinegar to shift the colour to black)...

03.01.2022 Please see the description on each image for details of that individual dream egg. Cost is $33 per egg, plus postage and handling.
