15.01.2022 Hi all, we have had to change our main phone number from 08 91925922 to our second number 08 91925911 due to telstras new NBN ready phone system and its configuration limitations. I found Telstra had been overcharging us (All out going calls were charged that should have been free) and when they corrected the billing issue, changes have affected our message system. Apologies to everyone who have left messages that I discovered had been diverted to a number only accessible ...through a cordless phone that had been playing up and out of service with battery issues. So if you have our number in your contacts, please change to 91925911. The old number (5922) is still answered through our main system but messages do not go to our reception message service. While time at home has been lovely, the stresses of non-practice and the mental overload on all of us has been significant. Pearly Whites Dental has reopened and will be seeing patients from Monday 4th of May, 2020. Once again if you have returned from overseas travel in the last 14 days, felt unwell including but not limited to symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of br...eath or have had any contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days please notify reception over the phone. We are under Level 2 restrictions which means we CAN do the following : Check your teeth and take xrays Handscale your teeth Do fillings ( under rubber dam) Do root canal ( under rubber dam) Get you out of pain Do simple extractions Some orthodontics Help you with your existing denture or make new ones We CANNOT Polish your teeth or use the ultrasonic scaler Do surgical extractions Anything that generates aerosols that we cannot do under rubber dam What is Rubber Dam? It is a plastic sheet that isolates your tooth and offers better visibility for the dentist to focus, but most importantly, the rubber dam also keeps the viruses ( eg the Corona Virus) that live in your blood and saliva from contaminating the tooth . 05.01.2022 Its that time of the year again. Footy, soccer and other contact sports require the use of mouthguards and professionally fitted mouthguards are recognised as the best option. Proform mouthguards are made here in Broome at Pearly Whites Dental with a turn around of two or three days. Are you a member of a health fund? Mouthguards are usually covered and will generally end up costing about the same price as "Boil and Bite" types. If you have ANY symptoms of illness , please call us ( dont come in ) and reschedule your appointment. *** please note: The release of supply of masks does not extend to the Private Sector , so like your local GP ( Doctor) we still need to source our masks from suppliers . Most suppliers have no or limited amount of masks and currently we are only able to purchase two boxes of 50 a week . Our other problem is everything is travelling by road now, so that masks ordered today will probably not get to us for 2 to 3 weeks Therefore , we can stay open ONLY AS LONG AS OUR MASK SUPPLY IS AVAILABLE . (Our masks are changed with every patient )
