21.01.2022 Another taster from the list of exciting presentations coming up on 16 October 7.30 pm at the Tanks Rebecca Shaw: By using my mild OCD and my cross-stitch skills, I have brought my favourite portraits from the National Portrait Gallery in London into my own home. I can view them whenever I wish and am grateful for the OCD that allowed me the patience needed to create them. Encouraging others to create their own beauty in their choice of medium, is the reason for my talk.

05.01.2022 A very special presentation from Karen and Scott Clarke about a deeply personal experience another of our incredible speakers presenting on next Wednesday 16 October @7.30 @thetankscairns Scott and Karen Clarke: My wife and I delivered our daughter Marley who was stillborn. We have subsequently found that trauma around birth is more common than we as a community recognize. Talking about birth trauma and creating space for parents to feel and recognize loss is important to us.... Our dear friend who is a professional photographer came into hospital with us and took some very powerful images as we were saying goodbye to our daughters physical body and we would love to share these images. We recently rode pushbikes around New Zealand towing our 4 year old son in a trailer to raise awareness around stillbirth and have some uplifting positive photos from that experience also. See more
