I received a phone call from Claire at Bunnings in Launceston who rang to let us know that our organisation was c...hoosen to receive $5000 Thank you hugely #Bunnings this will help alot with helping people who are homeless, your support is very much appreciated This afternoon I popped in to have a photo opportunity and thank Claire personally We were presentated with gifts of some awesome pots to grow some herbs in and a seed growing pad. 12.01.2022 Wilfred has done it !!! 253.43km in 24 days And he has currently raised $5,545!!What a MASSIVE achievement for a little 7 yr old boy Just a pedalling machine Wilfred returns to school tomorrow but with a week to go until the end of May he is still determined to ride. He aims to ride 300km by next Sunday and continue raising as much needed funds as possible. Thank you to everyone that has been following his journey , sharing his page , and making donations. 12.01.2022 Sunday wouldnt be Sunday without a bike ride! 15.88km Wilfred pedalled this morning. Was a bit fresh and windy but still enjoyable. Stopped to see some cows and calves being fed and a favourite on our rides, the miniature horses

10.01.2022 Some pictures from today. 18km was done and 300km goal reached. A stop for a juice and Wilfreds cousin joined the ride. A couple stops for a drink , a lap around the pump track a visit to the Monkeys and some lunch and Wilfred and I was on the home straight. A heros welcome when he made it home by his 2 other cousins and some yummy cake. Thank you Marilyn for making such a wonderful cake at such short notice.

I just wanted to touch base for one last time and say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to each and everyone of you for the overwhelming support, not only Wilfred but for myself also. We have both received many messages of encouragement, thank you and support throughout the month. We are both truely grateful and humbled by the response we have received. Thank you to Nightly News 7 Tasmania The Examiner for getting behind Pedal 4 Pods. ... Pedal 4 Pods mission may be completed but the mission to have the Pods set up in these containers ready and accessible continues. If you dont follow already, head over to Strike It Out Inc - Launceston feeding the homeless to keep up to date with progress reports regarding the sleep pods and feeding the homeless. Maybe you or someone you know could donate materials or skills to assist get this project up and running ?? Thank you Kirsten and volunteers for your tremendous efforts in supporting the local homeless community. My biggest takeaway from this experience is that WE CAN ALL do something , in some way to help others. No matter how big or small it may seem. Especially during this tough time. We can ALL get through this together if we support each other and be KIND. Lastly , A BIG congratulations to my little boy Wilfred. What a champion. I am proud beyond words. Your initiative, compassion, drive , determination for a 7 yr old is remarkable. When I explain to you what you have achieved you just say oh....Im not doing anything hard , Im just riding my bike . You are so humble. One day I hope you will look back at this experience and truly believe and recognise what you have accomplished at such a young age. You are my hero. I love you. Mumma. 05.01.2022 Tonight we had Simon from Mode Electrical completing more work on the mobile locker trailer We now have led lights working We are hoping to have this projec...t completed and operational next week! There are people who are homeless living on the streets who cannot wait to have a safe space to store their belongings Thank you so much Simon for your hard work If you have a business in town and have one car space available where we could please sit the mobile locker trailer, totally secure as it has cameras and will be managed.
