22.01.2022 It was great to be involved in an event last night thats so close to our hearts at the PFUA when Pinjarra Football & Netball Club - Seniors and Waroona Demons Football Club took to the field for a one off match for Think Mental Health in honour of Walshy. Both teams played the game with great sportsmanship. It was emotional for all to see young Koopa and Jaxon Walsh take to the field and kick a few goals, before being presented with the Game Ball from the match honouring the...ir Dad. The game was finished off with players from both Sides and the umpires sharing a few beers and subway in the Pinjarra Changerooms. Thank you to Pinjarra for inviting us to be part of something so special and we look forward to being part of it in the future. This is a cause so close to us at the PFUA and All of us Umpires who took the field last night had Mabbsy in our hearts. : Pinjarra Football & Netball Club.

After a recent recruitment process was undertaken and completed between the PFNL, the Peel DFDC and the PFUA a number of candidates were identified and interviewed. ... Please join me in welcoming Adam Hauswirth to the role of Umpires Coordinator for season 2021. Adams extensive experience in Umpiring, Coaching and mentoring Umpires to achieve their best, as well as his professionalism and progressive approach to coaching will see Adam continue the excellent work of outgoing Umpires Coordinator, Jack Crawshaw. Adam will in due course be charged with filling positions within the Coaching Panel at both Junior and Senior Level. Adam most recently umpired the 2020 PFNL League Grand Final, one of many Grand Finals across a long and distinguished Umpiring career. 10.01.2022 As discussed after training last night, Match paperwork will return to normal processes this season and is to be returned to PFNL General Manager Geoff Hillier at his house on Saturday/Sunday evening or to David Grays Arena by 10am Monday. Umpires from the last game of the day should ensure all match paperwork is completed and accounted for in the Satchel. Jack will send out an email this afternoon with Geoffs address. Clubs will be asked to address their playing group pre-game explaining that sides will be thanking and respecting ...the umpires for the integral roles that they play in our game. The WA Football Commission encourages coaches and leaders of community football clubs to also communicate to spectators, parents and volunteers, the vital part that all umpires play in community football. The partnership between the WACFL and Healthway cen...tres around the Think Mental Health campaign and the important messages that it promotes. Alarmingly one person dies in Western Australia each day by suicide and nearly 3 out of 4 of these deaths by suicide are male. These statistics are even higher in regional Western Australia and it highlights the importance of building resilience and improving the overall mental health and wellbeing of all West Australians. As a country football network, we have clubs as far north as Kununurra and as far south as Esperance which provides us with a great opportunity to play an active role in promoting the importance of improving the health and wellbeing of our communities. The Think Mental Health Round provides you, your club members and community with the opportunity to get together and support each other to improve mental health and wellbeing. There are many resources available and tips on how to start these conversations as well as things you can to do improve your mental health and wellbeing. 04.01.2022 We will be all thinking of you tomorrow Bobby Mac X Update on Bob Macdonald from Tracey - Surgery is going ahead first thing tomorrow morning for a triple heart bypass. They were a bit worried as his heart is quite weak & he’s struggling for breath. Plus he has a bad cough. They tried to do another angiogram this afternoon but couldn’t get the camera though (or something) so they are going ahead with the surgery as he needs it done asap. ... He’s been pretty emotional & scared today. But mum & I met the surgeon this afternoon & he said the surgery will be fine. They’re more concerned for after the op the hallucinations due to the medication he might have & the forgetfulness of where he is. Please keep him in your thoughts tomorrow morning. See more

The successful applicant, in conjunction with the PFNL Director and PFUA President, will administer the panel of Umpires. The responsibilities of the role includes, but are not limited to:... Assist in appointing an Umpires Coaching Panel for the recruitment, instruction, training and retention of Umpires. Liaise weekly with coaches and the PFUA President to appoint Umpires to the PFNL fixtures. Provide match day support for umpires. Be receptive to enquiring Club Coaches on umpiring matters. Continue on from 2020 in strengthening relationships with all Clubs and PFNL Stakeholders. Foster an inviting and rewarding environment for All Umpires.
