21.01.2022 Today was the last day of the Northern Schools Cattle Competition. Students have been involved in junior judging, paraders and presenting steers. 20.01.2022 Our new school leaders were announced in a small ceremony on Wednesday afternoon (due to Covid restrictions). A huge congratulations to our new School Captains Pyper Allan and Tom Ellis and our new School Vice Captains Oliver McGill and Jacqueline Sayabath. How lucky are we to have such an amazing new team of leaders for our school!

19.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK 2020 We celebrated NAIDOC Week on Thursday. It was led by a flag raising ceremony and cultural dance, led by Year 12 student, Maene Trindall. After the flag raising ceremony there was an award ceremony where students were presented with the Gaba Waan (Good Job) awards. Cutting of the NAIDOC Cake by incoming school captains Pyper Allan and Tom Ellis followed this. ... Congratulations to Braydon Allan and Shakayla Spearim on receiving the Aunt Viv Knox Award! Students and staff had a great week celebrating NAIDOC!

17.01.2022 Our SRC has been busy this term, promoting environmental initiatives amongst the student body. This started with Green Accessories Day and concluded during our Term 5 Activities with a Garden Beautification program. Students were given the opportunity to volunteer to weed, shovel and plant natives into our garden beds! Thank you to all our SRC students and Year 7, 8 and 9 students who volunteered their time to help with this project!

This is an amazing opportunity for our Year 11 Senior Leaders to bond and plan as a team for their upcoming year leading our school! ... 12.01.2022 TERM 5 Term 5 2020 starts tomorrow morning and runs through to Wednesday. Students will go to Roll Call as normal and then proceed to the MPC for a short assembly.... If students are unsure which activity they chose, lists will be posted on the windows of the English Block in the morning. If students haven't yet chosen an activity, an opportunity will be provided after the assembly. Please remember the gold coin donation for 3D Printing and Christmas Decoration Making. 09.01.2022 EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS We acknowledge the heat is becoming extreme. We would like to encourage ALL students to be wearing hats and bringing drink bottles to school. Drink bottles can be filled up at the bubblers. Students are encouraged to wear sunscreen before they come to school. ... 07.01.2022 What a fantastic lead up to NAIDOC Week we’ve had over the last couple of days! On Wednesday Sista Speak girls presented traditional uses of the Lomandra bush, which was followed by an outstanding weaving workshop. Thanks to our knowledgeable Year 9 students, Shakyala Spearim, Aaliyah Morley and Thora Flett for your presentation! Students were then lucky enough to watch the Len Waters Cultural Showcase. What an extravaganza of talent it was! Thankyou to Miss Barnett and Miss Faint for organising this trip!

07.01.2022 SCHOOL HOLIDAY REVISION TIMETABLE! Once again our dedicated staff are giving up their time in the holidays to help our Year 12 students prepare for the HSC! Year 12 students are reminded that if they cannot make a study session they need to contact their teacher and let them know.

We are committed to monitoring the health and welfare of all our students and we will contact parents when needed.... Please be vigilant with any change in behaviour of your child as they may be suffering after watching this clip. It is my understanding that the images are very confronting. 05.01.2022 As a new cohort begin their HSC courses, students may feel stressed by the increase in workload. In order to support students, Peel High Teachers volunteer to run a Senior Homework Centre. Students can access the resources of the school library and ask teachers for expert advice to complete their homework and assessments. If your child is struggling or feeling overwhelmed, please encourage them to come along.

04.01.2022 SCHOOL PHOTOS 2020! School photos will occur this THURSDAY 10th SEPTEMBER and FRIDAY 11th SEPTEMBER. Students should wear TIDY NORMAL SCHOOL UNIFORM (white shirts). This includes ties for seniors.... Each year group has been allocated a time on Thursday except Year 11 with their photo session being on Friday morning. Year 12 students are able to have their photos before school (from 8AM) on both days and during the day on Thursday.

03.01.2022 NAIDOC Week celebrations will be held at Peel High School this Thursday the 12th of November to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Students will participate in a NAIDOC themed lesson during Period 2. This will be followed by a flag raising ceremony and cutting of the NAIDOC cake at recess. At lunch, there will be a free BBQ for all students and a Staff vs Student Oztag match on the oval.

02.01.2022 Last Friday, 9DV presented their Geography Passion Projects! Each student was asked to 'geograph-i' their passion. They were fortunate enough to have keen visitors who were all really impressed with 9DV's ideas and discoveries.

02.01.2022 FOOTY GALA DAY The Rugby League Gala Day on Monday 9th November (tomorrow) will now be held at the Tamworth Minor League Fields (Plain St Fields) not at Norths Oval as listed on the note. There is NO canteen available and all players NEED to provide their own water bottle.
