23.01.2022 TELEPHONE / TELEHEALTH CONSULTS At Peelwood Family Medical Practice, our number one priority is safety of all patients, staff, and families. During this unprecedented global pandemic, it is safest for all if we limit in-surgery consultations to those that cannot be completed by other means.... Using new Medicare rebates which are bulk billed (FROM 30.3.2020), we will be moving to telehealth consultations wherever possible. If, after discussion with your doctor by phone or video conference, you need to come into the surgery for an examination or procedure, you will be invited to do so. We will still be here, working to look after all of our valued patients, whilst taking these steps to ensure that all vulnerable patients are protected. If you do come into the surgery, you will notice it will look different, as we now have 2 zones in the practice, and have implemented measures to allow social distancing. Unwell patients will still be seen, but to minimize the risks to all, we will consult by phone or videoconference first and limit time in practice in a dedicated separate space with strict isolation and infection control measures to ensure the safety of all. This means that for well patients who need to come in for other reasons such as immunisations or procedures, every possible step will have been taken to ensure that you are not exposed to any health risks by doing so. 20.01.2022 PFMP welcomes Dr BENJAMIN LETT MBBS BSc who joins us 12.1.2020 Ben graduated medicine at Southampton University, UK, in 2012. He practiced for 3 years before moving to Australia in 2015. Outside of work Ben enjoys spending time staying active and outdoors, camping, running, kitesurfing, golfing etc... He is completing his GP speciality training at the practice, prior to this the majority of his clinical time has been spent in Emergency Medicine and Orthopaedics.
