25.01.2022 Update From Committee We are currently working on the programme for our Inaugural Show which will be held (hopefully) in September 2020 - Covid-19 permitting. Classes included in the programme are:... Child Handler 9yrs Old & Under; Youth Handler 10-17yrs; Adult Handler 18yrs - 59yrs; Adult Handler 60yrs Old & Over; Best Handler and Horse/Pony for all four Handler Categories; Miniature Horse Filly, Colt, Mare, Stallion and Gelding; Small Horse Filly, Colt, Mare, Stallion and Gelding; Miniature Pony Filly, Colt, Mare, Stallion and Gelding; Appendix Pony Filly, Colt, Mare, Stallion and Gelding; Champion and Reserve Champion for all sections and overall Supreme; Shetland Pony 8.2H & Under Filly, Colt, Mare, Stallion and Gelding; Shetland Pony Over 8.2H - 10.2H Filly, Colt, Mare, Stallion and Gelding; Champion and Reserve Champion for all sections; and overall Supreme; Colour; Head; Trot; Best Colour; Best Head; and Best Trot. Each Section will have Yearling, 2yr Old, 3yr Old and 4yrs Old & Over. If you would like to see other classes included, please let us know. Once we receive suggestions we will poll people to gauge the support for including them in our programme. 23.01.2022 Hello Fellow Horse Lovers. Like you, we are all looking forward to getting into the Show Season for 2020/2021. Unfortunately Corona Virus has other ideas and plans for us all. As our Inaugural Show was to be held at South Serenity Arabians Equestrian Centre at Kimore on 20 September 2020 and Corona has now closed Mitchell Shire, we are not prepared to run the risk of starting our Show Season too early and jeopardising the health and well-being of our potential showers. Beca...use of this we have had to cancel our September Show, and we are now hoping to be able to get out in October, which will also be held at Kilmore. Fingers crossed that this Corona situation will settle down soon and we can get back to doing what we love - showing off our babies! Regular updates about how the Corona Virus impacts on us and our shows will be posted on our Facebook Page. Chins up everybody - we will get through this.

22.01.2022 Thank you to all those people who sent us feedback in response to our recent request. We have taken all your suggestions on board and they will be considered for inclusion in our future shows. Regarding the questions that were asked...... Yes, there are Supreme Awards for all Sections. Supreme Exhibits will be awarded a Ribbon, a Garland and a Trophy. Yes, there are Champion Exhibit and Reserve Champion Exhibit Awards for each Section. Champions and Reserve Champions will each receive a Ribbon and a Trophy. Yes, Geldings have their own Sections. Each will have a Champion Exhibit and a Reserve Champion Exhibit. And there will be an overall Supreme with a Ribbon, a Garland and a Trophy. Yes, we are child-friendly and have included Handler and Best Presented classes for children 9 yrs and under (who are able to enter for free), and Youth Classes (10yrs-13yrs; and 14yrs-17yrs). No, we will not be giving Vouchers as prizes for any class, Champion Exhibit, Reserve Champion Exhibit, or Supreme Exhibit, on our programme. 16.01.2022 Thank you to all those people who have given us such positive feedback about our new Club. Many of you are asking where our shows will be held. They will all be held in Central Victoria at different venues to ease the travel burden of those who wish to attend from having to always travel long distances.... Our Inaugural Show will be held at the South Serenity Arabians Indoor Arena in Kilmore. More information coming shortly.

12.01.2022 Greetings fellow horse, pony and Shetland lovers. Hope that you are all staying positive during these very hard times. Eventually we will be able to get back to the things we love to do. We have attached a sample programme for you all to see and to hopefully whet your appetite for the upcoming show season - when it finally gets started. Our Club remains positive that we will hopefully be out before Christmas.... We have decided that we will rotate the programme for every show so that every section gets a chance to be first off the rank. For instance: First show: Handlers, Mini Pony, Appendix Pony, Mini Horse, Small Horse, Head, Colour, Trot, Shetland Pony Under 8.2H, Shetland Pony Over 8.2H - 10H. Second Show: Handlers, Mini Horse, Small Horse, Shetland Pony Under 8.2H, Shetland Pony Over 8.2H - 10H, Head Colour Trot, Mini Pony, Appendix Pony. Third Show: Handlers, Shetland Pony Under 8.2H, Shetland Pony Over 8.2H - 10H, Mini Pony, Appendix Pony, Head, Colour Trot, Mini Horse, Small Horse. This will mean that any one section will not always be first up on the programme, or last on the programme. We have done this because we believe that no section should always be first or no section should always be last. Pegasus hopes that this message finds you all in good health. 04.01.2022 Welcome to the Pegasus Miniature Horse & Pony Club Inc Facebook Page. Pegasus is owned and operated by a small, dedicated team of Victorian Miniature Horse and Pony Owners and has been set up to enable other Miniature Horse, Pony and Shetland Pony owners to attend shows in a friendly, welcoming, stress-free atmosphere. Pegasus will be offering a variety of classes for Miniature Horses, Small Horses, Miniature Ponies, Appendix (Small) Ponies, and Shetland Ponies (up to 10.2H).... Placings will be for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, as well as Champion, Reserve Champion, Supreme, Best Colour Exhibit, Best Head Exhibit and Best Trot Exhibit. Every entrant who does not place in any of the above categories will receive a Participation Ribbon as a memento of the Show. We will be holding the following shows throughout the show season: Our Inaugural Show will be held on Sunday 20 September 2020 October 2020 November 2020 December 2020 No show in January 2021 (this will be a vacation month) February 2021 March 2021 And our Show Season will culminate with our Horse Of The Year Show, which will be held in April 2021. There are no Membership Fees for the first year. However, your horses/ponies must be registered with a recognised Miniature Horse/Pony Society but owners and handlers do not need to be a member of any society. 04.01.2022 Hi Pegasus Followers Hope you are all safe and well. A further update on the impacts of Covid-19 on our ability to hold Shows in Victoria for the 2020/2021 Season.... After discussions with the owner of the Venue that we have hired for our first show, it is now looking unlikely that we will be able to get out in October as planned, but hopefully in November we will be able to put in an appearance. If the rumours that are being spread around are anything to go by, it is possible that this lockdown period that we are all currently having to abide by may not be able to allow us to do what we love until well into next year. We remain ever hopeful that this is not the case, and are planning our season show schedule. We are endeavouring to have a full show season if at all possible and have booked the following dates for the season: 08 November 2020 - Inaugural Monthly Show 13 December 2020 - Christmas Monthly Show 17 January 2021 - Monthly Show 21 February 2021 - Monthly Show 21 March 2021 - Monthly Show 18 April 2021 - Horse Of The Year Show We continue to prepare by producing Ribbons, Rosettes, Garlands, Trophies, Awards, Prizes and giveaways. 02.01.2022 Hi Pegasus Followers The Committee thought it would be nice to share with you some of the Garlands and Prizes that we are presenting to our winners for the upcoming Show Season. There will also be lots of giveaways throughout the Season for our Exhibitors.... Hopefully this will all kick-off on 8 November 2020.

01.01.2022 Membership for the first 12 months is by a Day Membership of $10.00 per show.. Membership fees will not be introduced until the 2021/2022 show season. Each show for this season (2020/2021) will have a Day Membership Fee of $10.00 per handler to help to defray our costs, However, for this Show Season all Children 9 Years and Under only need to pay their Day Membership as all classes they enter will be free. All classes that we are offering for all others have a $10.00 fee ac...ross the board. The shows that we are holding will be held in Central Victoria at various venues. Our first Show in September will be held at the South Serenity Arabians Indoor Arena at Kilmore. Future shows will be held in various venues within Central Victoria when we have had a chance to check what facilities are available, where they are (e.g. Heathcote, Bendigo, Echuca), and whether they are suitable for our needs Do we offer Performance classes? At this stage, as we are only just establishing we are not offering Performance Classes, but as we develop we are planning on offering Showmanship, Trail, Hunter and Lungeline. Further classes will be looked into for next Show Season. Yes, the Pegasus Miniature Horse & Pony Cub Inc is run by a Committee, we have a Constitution and we are currently finalising our Show Rules, Dress Code, etc. If you have any issues regarding whether certain people are or are not allowed to enter our shows, please feel free to email us on [email protected] Regular postings will be put on here to try and cover those questions that may arise from those wishing to support us.
