25.01.2022 It's that time again when the animals get hammered by flies. New seasons stock of Australian made fly masks have arrived into the shop.They come in sizes Mini, Pony, Cob, Horse, X Full and Draft. and the colours are Black, Navy, Dark Purple, Cerise and Blue check. We also have the great Zilco Fly masks with the ear protection and nose, which can be unzipped and removed. (Not a great picture but they are a great shape.)

Tough, lightweight (6.4 kg), easy to handle and very user friendly for all ages; height is 55 cm and the diameter of the round and thus very stable base is 70 cm and carrying capacity is 150 kg. Let them learn that, if they work incredibly hard, practice like hell, ride the best quality horse they can and take impeccable care of him, theyre sometimes going to get beat by someone with 10 times the money and one tenth the drive. Teach them to drive trucks and trailers and ATVs. Teach them to change tires and wrap legs and give shots. And let them leave a spur mark, or a bit rub, or a bandage bow, and let them deal with the shame of causing pain to an animal they love. I do ground work to connect wi...th my horse, and get my horse to connect with me. I do ground work to exercise the horse's body and to exercise the horse's mind. I want to be able to give my horse MINOR signals from a distance, and have my horse make MAJOR adjustments I want the horse to connect with and respect me the way it connects with and respects other horses. Because you don't see them pushing, pulling, leaning, dragging and hanging on each other, they respect each other and act/work together as a cohesive unit. 18.01.2022 When tidying up the tack room, you can hang your rugs to give you more space. This holds 6 large rugs. We also have saddle rack which will hang on the top of a door, to get saddles up giving you more floor space.

18.01.2022 Ticks are a major problem at present ant prevention is not the easiest thing to do. that is why we now have various tick control treatments on the shelf. Amitik, Maldison and Malaban Wash, as well as Flygon, Fly-Away, Musca-ban and Ultra Shield. From what I have been reading, it is the DEET in these products which deters ticks. Keep up the good work.

17.01.2022 Tick season is upon us and it is quite severe. We have the TickEase removal tool which is stainless steel (not plastic). It has tweezers on one end and the tick lifter on the other. This product is $24.95

12.01.2022 For all horses. The fact that it is dry at present and very little grass is growing, horses are going to ingest sand and dirt as they nibble across the ground for a bit of green pick. Horses should at this time have Psyllium husks added to their feed, not every day but in bulk and intermittently, a suggestion of 100 gm once a day for 3 to 5 days once a month. This was advice from a vet for our horses. We have plenty in stock.

05.01.2022 Here are some nice soft but strong bell boots for your horses, 3 sizes. These are a Zilco product. Often referred to as "overreach" boots. Commonly used in showjumping as they prevent the hind toe from striking the heels of the foreleg - which occurs most frequently when jumping out of heavy-going ground. Made with a durable PU outer and 5mm neoprene lining, these overreach boots are light and flexible. The neoprene is designed to provide protection from knocks, and will not retain water. These boots are fitted with double-lock hook & loop straps for extra security, while the luxurious synthetic fleece collar is fully washable and protects the coronet and pastern from rubbing.

04.01.2022 The little rain we have had has been very welcome in our household, even though it bucketed down so heavily on that Saturday afternoon the gutters couldn't cope with it all. These warm and moist days can cause havoc for our animals with mycotoxins. But it is readily controlled with Elitox toxin binder. Just a little (a couple of teaspoons or so) in the horses (or cows') feed helps immensely. Elitox is made by Impextrico in Belgium and is used all around the world for this problem. Simple and efficient and it doesn't taste bad.
