21.01.2022 VETS ARE AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE A number of residents have contacted me over the last 24 hours to confirm that Vets are considered an essential service, as ther...e is uncertainty in the industry as reported by WA Today. Like you all, I am relying on the advice of the State Government. I have received advice from the Department of Premier and Cabinet and can confirm that the WA Government considers Veterinarians, VET Nurses and VET Supplies to be essential services. We are facing an unprecedented health crisis; however there will still be many animals who need medical support, and the vet industry will be ideally placed to ensure appropriate care is taken in terms of mitigating risk.

16.01.2022 To our valued clients. During these difficult times we are taking steps to ensure that we can keep our service to the community afloat to care for your horses. Below are some of the steps we are implementing to keep your family and our family safe. WE ARE FOLLOWING STRICT GUIDELINES FOR INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL AS ISSUED TO VETERINARY SURGEONS. A few simple steps we are taking below will have a huge impact.... 1. Where possible, Clinton will handle all horses on his own. 2. We ask that just one person from the family be present for the exam (this is tough for us as we love nothing more than an audience of kids and family) 3. Care must be taken to ensure appropriate social distancing. 4. Card payment is the preferred option during this time. 5. Most importantly - please tell us if you are unwell or in quarantine prior to any visit. Please note- we are visiting residents throughout the community. Some more vulnerable than others. So we must be strict to keep everyone as safe as possible. Your help is greatly appreciated as our natural tendency is to shake your hand, pull up a chair and have a cuppa and chat about your horses and family. Its not going to be easy but I know we can make this work together. Thank you very much for your continued support. Clinton and Sarah Float

04.01.2022 I thought I would share a sample of some of the interesting cases I have seen this past week ... All of these horses will require dental surgery to correct their problems. They highlight the fact that proper dentistry for horses is not just removing sharp edges... imagine the pain of having a dental rasp running over these teeth! A thorough oral exam with a bright light source and dental mirror is essential to identify these problems early.

03.01.2022 The small animal crew will be in Ferguson, Dardanup and Boyanup this Thursday. Message Sarah for booking Pegasus Veterinary Services.
