25.01.2022 Kittens, do we have kittens?... We get lots of inquiries for kittens at the moment. And the answer is yes we do! We have lots of little ones in care at the moment either growing big and strong or awaiting their vet work appointments :) We will have kittens in Petstock West Gosford, Tuggerah and Erina in December. Please keep an eye on the page as we will post what store they will be and when. We will also post their Petrescue Profiles with their personalities and a photo. ... All our Kittens are Desexed, 1st Vaccinated and Micro chipped and Adoption Fee is $350. Go in an meet the kitten of interest in store and applications for kittens are done in-store on the day. 22.01.2022 Waratah Waratah is one of the most special cats I’ve ever met. She is almost a year old but hasn’t grown and has stayed kitten sized even though she eats like a horse. She had an incredibly rough start to life but she fought hard and has come out the other side as a well balanced loving cat who is ready for her forever home. Waratah was pulled out of a very bad situation as a kitten with her brother Wattle and her mum Banksia. As soon as I got them I realized something wasn...’t right. Once we got them back home and cleaned them up we realized something was very wrong with their eyelids. They were also covered in fleas, had horrific cat flu and ringworm. Even though they were sick they fought hard. We found out that Waratah and Wattle had eyelid agenesis (their eyelids didn’t form properly) and this was causing their eyelids not to be able to close fully and also their eyelashes were rubbing right on their eyeballs causing painful ulcers and infections. We were lucky enough to get them in with Dr Kelly Caruso from the Eye Clinic for Animals who has revolutionized the treatment of their defect and was able to correct their margins and roll the eyelashes off their eyes. It’s been a long road with many treatments and they put up with so much poking, prodding, medications, and surgeries. Waratah has now gotten the all clear to be adopted after 11 months of treatment and it’s a sweet sorrow to give her up. She is incredibly well balanced- she is affectionate, but likes her own time. She loves entertaining herself with her toys, tunnels and cat trees. She also loves to play with her humans or sleep on your lap. She is dog friendly and cat friendly. She is submissive so will submit to more confident cats. She has also been around guinea pigs and will try to gently bat them through the cage but not harm them. The Eye Clinic for Animals has generously offered to cover her for life with anything to do with the eyelid agenesis. Because of this, the new owners will have to be within driving distance of Sydney. She is vaccinated, desexed and microchipped and is very healthy. She hasn’t been around children but would do okay with older kids/teenagers if they respect her autonomy. She would also be okay with cat friendly dogs and cat friendly cats. Because she has had cat flu before it might pop up from time to time if she is stressed but it won’t affect her much other than some sneezing and watery eyes. Giving her up is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, but I know that she deserves a good home and she will live such a happy life! I will miss this sweet and fun girl so much. Sadly willow for some reason bite her owner yesterday, the elderly lady needed stitches so she decides willow should be euthanise. Thankfully for our amazing vet nurse she contacted us to take her in. 20.01.2022 Hey wonderful followers! An update on the white cat with the huge wound on his neck. He has been dubbed Gandalf the White. He had surgery on the Sunday night to debride and clean it all out. It didn’t track nearly as far as we first thought which was a huge win! For a week now he has been living as a house cat with my mum Jane Michelle Pickering, and has been going between being in the crate and sleeping on the bed. He is coming out of his shell and he LOVES cuddles, food a...nd giving the dogs a gentle whack if they get too close otherwise he is living side by side with them haha. He is still a bit grubby for now as he cannot be bathed while his wound is healing. But since getting his wound tended to he no longer smells like death. Once he is all healed up he will be ready for a forever indoor home. His Sunday night surgery (including desexing) came to over $500. 19.01.2022 ADOPTED *** ASSISTED RE-HOME ON BEHALF OF THE OWNER ** Maisie is a long haired blue Manx and she was 4 in November.... She's up to date with worming, flea and vaccinations and is also micro-chipped and de-sexed. She loves sitting next to you on the couch and laying with you on your bed. She was extremely matted from the last person they adopted her off. The owner took her for a full vet check, bloods and she was sedated to be shaved. Her hair is growing back and she's starting to re gain her confidence. She really is a great cat! Good with kids, doesn't bite and is litter trained. Unfortunately Maisie is not getting along with the other cat in the house so we feel that she would be better in a home where she is the only cat. 18.01.2022 Good morning. Just wanted to update everyone on my adventure. I have been staying with my foster mum and pesky foster dad for 4 months now. My name is TigerLily... and I am a 5 yo longhair mixed breed. My foster mum says I am a beautiful princess....I do like being called a princess!! I love having a play around the back yard in the mornings but love to chill out in the office while Mum is working. I am looking for my forever home.....I am quite happy here but my Foster parents are planning a few renovations and some holiday time and I just can't cope with lots of noise and people....aah they are scary. 18.01.2022 Little update on my sweet valentina. Since her kittens are becoming more independent and she now has my office as well she is staying well away from me. I've be...en doing some research on feral cats and it turns out that a cat constantly watching you is actually a bad thing. I had no idea cause my cats always stare at me. I've now taken a huge step back and only touch her if needed. Every second day I do check her tummy to make sure no hot lumps cause she is feeding her kittens less and less. And sometimes give her chin scratches if she is calm. Other then that I give her the space she wants. She is eating with me in the room without constantly watching me which is a huge step for our relationship. Kittens are going well with socialisation in my house and will soon be in full time (just hoping they learn to keep the litter in the tray before I do, I might be dreaming ). I will finally name them this weekend, I promise lol. See more

14.01.2022 FOSTER CARERS NEEDED !!! Kitten seasons is here and we will need carers. Our regular carers are full and busy with Cats and Kittens which means are books are closed. ... Put simply to help Cats and Kittens in need we require reliable and committed foster carers to open their homes to help. Without foster carers we cannot help those in the community that reach out to Peggys for help with Strays or Surrenders of Preg Mums and Bubs, Kittens and Adult Cats. We supply food, litter, flea and worming treatment and arrange all your vet appointments. You will just need to be able to transport to and from any vet appointments and give them their own room or space initially away from other animals. We then take care of their adoptions through Petstock. All new animals coming into care need to be isolated from your other pets for around two weeks incase if any sickness. Then can be socialised with your family pets. All foster kittens and cats must be kept strictly indoors while in your care. Your pets must be desexed and vaccinated. We also have the option to adopt a foster once their vet work is completed. Its a rewarding job seeing kittens grow to being ready for adoption. 09.01.2022 UPDATE - JAKE HAS BEEN ADOPTED Introducing Jake the silver fox, oops, I mean tabby. He is super affectionate and just loves his pats and cuddles. He is happy playing with other cats and kittens, and should be ok around supervised children and calm dogs. Jake is a good boy who always uses his litter tray and would suit being an indoor cat, where he can't hurt wildlife, and is safe from all the dangers outside. My new family probably shouldn't have young children, but I am purrfectly happy around older kids, and other furbabies. I am a very good girl who always uses the litter tray, so would love to be an inside kitty, where I am safe from the dangers outside, and the wildlife is safe from me. 05.01.2022 I am absolutely gutted, the worst day in rescue. A dog paid the ultimate price for people letting her down, she sacrificed her life. Months of training, trying to find the perfect home and faith in this dog proved useless in the end as I could not stop the anxiety, the aggression, the inability for her to understand it will be OK. Today I had to make a heartbreaking decision, I LET HER DOWN, I FAILED, BUT IF SOMEONE HAD NOT THROWN HER AWAY AND PUT TIME AND LOVE INTO HER THE O...UTCOME WOULD HAVE BEEN SO DIFFERENT. I am so FUCKING bitter atm and disappointed with people thinking animals are disposable. ANIMALS give everything and humans take, take, take. Do not buy puppies as Christmas or birthday presents, do not breed unwanted litters, do not treat animals like their nothing. When you have to hold a dogs paw as it takes its last breath and look into its eyes, you’ll never forget that look or the tears that you cry or the pain you feel. Thinking that you have let them down but then realizing they were let down before they got to you and that’s just so sad.

The wonderful staff at Petstock Tuggerah did such a good job of looking a...fter him, but him and his pig toy just wanted to go back into a home. The first thing he did once home was have a huge meal and snuggle with his carer. It’s like he never left! He is still shedding his old grubby street coat but as you can see he is starting to look so clean, fresh and handsome! I am Princess, a very outgoing, confident girl who loves the rough and tumble associated with being young and playful. If you want a cuddle, you will have to tire me out with lots of games - I am particularly fond of chasing anything attached to string around the home. I always use the litter tray, and would be well suited to the indoor life, where I am safe, and so are the wildlife. If you have other furbabies, we will probably all be friends, I'm happy to share your love. I'm ok with older kids, but I might be a bit of a handful for the little ones.
