19.01.2022 It is with great disappointment that we announce Dane Pound will be stepping down from his position as Senior Coach. As we start to exit the 2020 COVID lockdown season ( ), we are starting to plan for the new COVID normal, particularly with regard to the 2021 football season. This includes difficult decisions, like Dane has made. Dane originally took over as senior coach in 2016, where he took the team to a Preliminary Final... only to go one better in 2017, coaching the... club to its first senior flag in over 20 years! That year, he was named the Division 1 Coach of the Year and was also named as Assistant Coach in the PEGS Team of last 50 Years. After 5 years in the top job, Dane in conjunction with the club, decided it was time to take a step back and focus on life outside of footy. Thank you Poundy! We have the right people in charge at PEGS to find a suitable replacement to continue the hard work and strong culture set up by Dane. With a promising junior program, a strong connection to one of the best AGSV football schools in Victoria and access to a world class football facility, the club is in excellent shape for the future. Watch this space as we advertise for the new senior coaching position.

13.01.2022 PEGS FC 2020 GOLF DAY - https://mailchi.mp/20c80eedf5a4/pegs-fc-2020-golf-day

10.01.2022 The 2001 VAFA C grade GF, Hampton Rovers v PEGSFC/Old Essendon will be broadcast tonight on YouTube. The 2001 team defeated Hampton by one point in the semi final in a thriller, but the tables were reversed and PEGS went down convincingly in the GF. Unfortunately PEGS also lost the GF in 2000 to Caulfield, and lost back to back GFs. For those keen to watch the game it will broadcast on you tube at 730.... In the 2001 GF team, PEGS had 8 players playing under 20 years of age, many of which played in the pegs first 18 school team 1998/99/2000 and this team set the pathway for PEGS going onto play in a large number of finals series in B grade from 2002-2008. Same season Scott McPherson won the competition best and fairest with 24 votes and Matt Wollington a 18 yr old at the time polled 21 votes from 7 senior games for the season.. an incredible effort.

08.01.2022 2020 season promises to be an exciting year for PEGSFC with high player retention from last season and a number of quality players coming back to the runway. We are excited to have secured most of our coaching positions for the season and have had interest from quality candidates for the U19 coaching role and assistant senior coaching role. Both roles represent an exciting challenge with the VAFA U19 competition viewed as the strongest development league in Victoria outside ...the VFL. With PEGS one of the countrys finest football schools the position provides a great opportunity to tap into the school talent. Likewise the senior coaching assistant role represents an important one working with a strong senior player list and senior coach Dane Pound for 2020 in Division 1. The club is seeking final expressions of interest for these important positions as we look to secure our final coaching team heading into November.VAFA HQ
