21.01.2022 It's #NAIDOCWeek, a time to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. One way to do this is to learn some words in language. Here are some Wiradj...uri words for counting - 1 is ngumbaay, 2 is bula, 3 is bula ngumbaay (2+1), 4 is bula bula (2+2) and 5 is marra (this is also the word we use for hand, because we have 5 fingers). 14.01.2022 Update with our centre phones. It has been reported that Telstra are experiencing technical issues with some landline phones not receiving calls from Telstra mobile phone. They are unable to give a date or time to have this issue sorted. Im sorry for the inconvenience this has caused our families. If you are able to use a non Telstra mobile to call the service we can still receive these calls. If everyone else could please continue to contact us via email or through Facebook messenger. I will keep everyone updated.

12.01.2022 Friday is National Talk like a Pirate Day - Make sure you come Dressed like your Favorite Pirate - Ahh Me Hearty

11.01.2022 Please be reminded that you must not send your child to the centre if they have a cold/flu, runny nose or symptoms like sore throat, cough, or high temperature. Thankyou for your understanding on this matter but we must keep each other safe. If you send your child to care unwell or symptoms appear during the day you will be phoned to collect your child immediately. If your child is sent home from care you will be asked to present a clearance letter from the doctor before your child can return to care. I understand that it is cold and flue season but we must protect each and every person.

04.01.2022 Pelican Point Early Learning Eagleby has been selected to provide a new FREE program, that is being offered by the QLD government. It is called "Thriving and on Track (TOTS) and we will be having Health Nurse visiting our centre on set dates, to discuss Child development and health issues. The centre will than work with our families and the specialists, to implement, support and guide the families and children with advice given for Free. Families if you have any concerns about your child's health,please feel free to have a talk with Miss Nikki or Miss Nikita. We can then explain the program to you further and add your family to the list. This program is designed for children aged 2.5years to 3.5years.
