25.01.2022 G'DAY To Our traveller's here in Qld. YES WE ARE STILL OPEN FOR BUSINESS & if you're looking for some-where to stay for either over-night, short term or long term. As you all know we only allow essential traveller's only which means if you live in your own van/motorhome, in transit trying to get home or an emergency & need accommodation or essential work. Our park has lovely large grassy sites & are well spaced apart. Our ammenities are also open but by law we are limited. Our lovely clean cabins/studio units are also available. We are being very responsible & we ask you too, to please be responsible as well as we still like to make your stay comfortable. If you're looking to book please call Des or Jenny on 46253398. So, if you're wondering where to go, where no better than the outback . We have not had one case of covid-19 out here and our days here have been beautiful, beautiful nights. Sit around our lovely warm fireplace in our camp-kitchen. We have lovely large grassy powered sites & they are ready and waiting for you caravanner's. 17.01.2022 We had a great evening at the camp-kitchen with our guest's from The Beenleigh Uniting Church Group who have been staying with us this last week. They've kept themselves busy. They went on a cruise up the Ballone River with Sandytown River Cruise, also a visit to Riversands Winery as well as The Unique Egg and morning tea at Beardmore Dam. Thank you for staying with us and we hope to see you all again. And, thank you for our yummy chocolates too.

16.01.2022 Well, it's been a tough 3 month's but we wouldn't have gotten through these last 3 month's without our guest's who are now friends. Andy & Marj, Cliff (or is ...it Phil) & Kay, and John & Cindy. They stayed here at Pelican Rest Tourist Park St George during the lockdown. They made themselves at home here, helping us working on the grounds with the watering/sprinkling (8 acres), raking, even the odd ammenities clean on our Sunday break and even looking after our 6 chicky-babe's who had no-names and now they do. We all became a family, the odd visit here or there (even with just no more than 4 at one time), but we all had alot of Fun- Laughs. But, a very special thank you to Andy and Marg who has done an amazing job with our grounds, beautiful photo's as well. Des And I will miss you ALL. This is what we love about our job, it's the people you meet just like we have when we managed Maryborough who have-still are life long friends. 14.01.2022 Happy Easter Everyone. Hope everyone are all safe and well. Being isolated is not fun as we all know. The Riversands Winery are putting on LIVE MUSIC - LIVE STREAM ON FACEBOOK, and the entertainment yesterday was awesome. Thank you for the great music you have put on. All you have to do, is go onto your facebook page and search & like 'The Riversands Winery' St- George and they have some lovely wines/ports that they sell online. You can watch the entertainment Dav...id has organised with the musicians that are putting alot of there time entertaining us all. And, to all our dancing friends out there, let's get into some dancing practice with our rock'n'roll-swing and even some partner-dancing. If you got the room in your lounge/dining/garage come'on & join in the fun with all the great musicians who are going to entertain us some more on Easter Sunday from 3pm onwards. And, To All you essential traveller's out there who are looking for a place to stay, The Pelican Rest Tourist Park in St-George Qld is still open for business though we do have our regulations here, you need to sign a form to say you are an essential traveller, travelling home or an essential worker. Our facilities are open but we only allow 2 people at one time in each facility as we do like to make you feel welcome and comfortable. If you are fully self contained we do ask for you to use your own facilities. We have lovely large shady spacious grassy caravan sites, we do have some slab sites as well and we do have our lovely clean cabins/studio cabins as well. For the traveller's that would like to stay for awhile on our sites we do special rates as well. We do ask for you to be responsible as we are responsible. 07.01.2022 What a great weekend we had, our park was fully booked from our sites to our cabins. Our guest's enjoyed going to #Riversands Winery for some wine tasting ...to there lovely morning tea & lunches. Or a drive to #Thallon-#Nindigully Pub. The kids even loved feeding the horses, cows, especially Odie the young bull who loves a cuddle. Come an see our beautiful sunrise & sunsets.
