16.01.2022 Forget about being a millionaire - come join our 2021 SUB-EDITING CREW! ... What will I be doing?... You'll be in charge of a section (e.g. Politics, Science, Finance) and have the opportunity to work with students across campus to develop their pieces for publishing online or in our print magazine (there are at least six of these each year!) This includes coming up with a few ideas for each magazine, getting in contact with writers who might be interested, and working with them to edit their articles before they're put out there for the whole world to read! We'll also have team meetings, writers nights, and launch nights for you to attend Do I need to have editing experience? No experience necessary (although if you do have some, flex it!) The most important things we look for are: 1) Passion for what Pelican does 2) Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn 3) Ability to work well in a team and meet deadlines What will I get? You'll learn a lot about the editing process, improve your own communication skills, and meet some great people. We're hoping to run a bunch of workshops with professional writers and people with industry experience and you'll be the first to know about them! If you've read this far, it's a sign - hit us up if you have any questions and make sure to apply before the 11th of December here: https://tinyurl.com/y27kkem3
