19.01.2022 MORNING ROUTINE: How you start your morning is the most important time of the day for setting the stage for healthy bowels! It's all about establishing a morning routine. Here are some suggestions: > Start with some form of exercise > Have a hot drink - tea, lemon tea or a cup of coffee > Try including prunes or pears, as fruit or juice to your diet (if constipation is a problem) > Eat your breakfast without distractions... Give yourself time in the morning to pass the bowel motion and use the right toileting position. Don't leave it until you are about to walk out the door to pass a poo. Your body won't be relaxed enough to pass it. #incontinenceawareness #incontinencecare #peemypants #postpartum #newmumpelvicfloor #pelvicfloorhealth #sittingposture #menopausematters #perimenopause #stressincontinence #urgeincontinence #incontinence #urinaryincontinence #selfcare #menopauseadvice #menopausepelvicfloorhealth #menopausepelviccare #menopauseeffects #earlymenopause #menopausalwomen #phsiotherapistguidedprogram #pelvicfloorphysio

14.01.2022 JUST MOVE: Moving Everyday has the power to improve every part of your body. Increasing your daily mobility can help upgrade your overall health. You'll have stronger bones and muscles, reduce the risk of heart disease plus have a better nights sleep and best of all it can make you happier! #moveeveryday #incontinencecare #peemypants #postpartum #pelvicfloorhealth #perimenopause #urgeincontinence #menopauseadvice #menopausepelvicfloorhealth #menopausepelviccare #menopauseeffects

14.01.2022 CONNECT WITH YOUR BREATH: In an adult, your diaphragm works 12-16 times a minute. That's 720 -960 times every hour! Good breathing requires a long, slow, gentle breath out, like you are softly blowing petals on a flower or a straw - you should be able to feel your ribs collapse inwards as the move through their full range of movement. Take some time to check your breathing. #breathingandpelvicfloor #pelvicfloorhealth #urinaryincontinence #stressincontinence #menopause #phsiotherapistguidedprogram #incontinenceawareness #pelvicfloorweakness #menopausematters #perimenopause #menopausepelviccare

14.01.2022 TIME OUT: Life does seem to be speeding up, we are becoming busier and feeling that we need to achieve more. Give yourself permission to take time out for you. Give yourself permission for self-care. This time for you shouldn't be viewed as indulgent, rather it's a non-negotiable. Go for a run, walk the dog, catch up on your favourite podcast. When you take time for self-care, you get the chance to refresh and see things differently. #incontinenceawareness #incontinencecare #peemypants #postpartum #newmumpelvicfloor #pelvicfloorhealth #sittingposture #menopausematters #perimenopause #stressincontinence #urgeincontinence #incontinence #urinaryincontinence #selfcare #menopauseadvice #menopausepelvicfloorhealth #menopausepelviccare #menopauseeffects #earlymenopause #menopausalwomen #phsiotherapistguidedprogram #pelvicfloorphysio

02.01.2022 MEET ANNIE: Physiotherapist and mother, passionate about ALL women having access to quality pelvic floor care. Let's find out more about the founder of this program: 1. I am a mother of 3 daughters and my wish for them is that they are familiar with their pelvic floor, that they know what is normal for them and when to seek help. Me being confident with my pelvic floor health will not only benefit me, but my daughters as well. (Please note: I do have other wishes for my da...ughters this is just one of them!) 2. I have leaked with coughing, sneezing and used to fear the sight of the trampoline. But not any more! 3. Menopause is fast approaching (I’m 43) and I’m on a mission to meet it with a strong body so I can keep doing the things I love afterwards. Keen to know more about fixing your leaking or weak pelvic floor? Head to the link in our bio See more
