25.01.2022 A fab beach clean up event this year - very little rubbish in comparison to previous years. It was disappointed to see so many bottles and cans left for others to pick up - 10c each people!!!! A massive thank you to Grant and the guys from Track Care WA Inc for coming to Pemberton and staying in the Yeagarup Hut, to Parks and Wildlife Service, Western Australia for supporting the event with signage and trailer - waiving fees and networking with the volunteers, Keep Austral...ia Beautiful WA for volunteer waivers and Tangaroa Blue for collecting the data (which I am currently counting rubbish for at our local dump - oh and a thanks to Rob and the Shire of Manjimup for giving us access to your facility for sorting, counting and dumping.) We’ll be heading through the dunes to the beach - there will be some walking the tracks to the beach - fingers crossed there won’t be too much mess!... The Trackcare crew will be mainly doing our coastline over the weekend - if you have a 4WD and are heading to the coast you are welcome to join them!
