13.01.2022 #CraftACritter Today, I’m delighted to announce the launch of #CraftACritter! To raise awareness of Australia’s remarkable threatened species, I’m encouraging e...veryone to create an artistic depiction of their favourite threatened species and share it with me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #CraftACritter. If you can, include a written description about the importance of your threatened critter, why you chose it and how you made it. Frog expert and Curator of Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Biology at the Australian Museum and UNSW, Dr Jodi Rowley will be joining me to judge submissions and reward outstanding creations. There are four categories that you can enter including an early learning category (children aged 0 to 4 years), a primary school category (children aged 5 to 11), an open category (individuals of all other ages), and a people’s choice category, which will be decided by you, the public! The only thing I ask from you is to remember to reduce, re-use and recycle. Try your best to use materials found around the home or garden when crafting your critter. Get crafting Australia! I can’t wait to see your threatened critters come to life. More information is available at: bit.ly/craftacritter
