21.01.2022 HUMPHREY NEEDS YOUR HELP.... Humphrey was adopted from Devonport Centre just a couple of days ago. Unfortunately he shot out the door of his new home when he sa...w an opportunity and now he is in unfamiliar territory. His new home is in the Montello Area (Burnie). Of course his new people are devastated and really want him back home. So, if you live in that area, please keep your eyes peeled for this big boy. He still has some bald patches around his neck from his previous abcesses and is wearing a collar. He's a very friendly boy, so we hope he will find someone who will help him get home soon. If you find Humphrey please either call RSPCA on 6427 2566 or his new owners on 0498 218 399. Any information on sightings would be greatly appreciated. Please share this and help get Humphrey back home. See more

18.01.2022 Caution to dog owners: Take care when seeking made-for-human alternatives to Veterinary therapy: XYLITOL, a common artificial sweetener in human foods, but very toxic to dogs, is mostly thought of as in Chewing Gum, but ... it is also in some COUGH SYRUPS, chewable human VITAMINS, and other readily available human meds and supplements. And in some...... ... breath mints, mouthwash & human TOOTHPASTES ... nut butters. including PEANUT BUTTER ... baked goods, sugar-free deserts such as low-cal ICE-CREAM [so dont let your dog lick the platter clean!] And ... I have seen, in a Supermarket, 100% Xylitol Lollies for an energy boost Xylitol should be included in the ingredients list for Australian products, but many longer-life items are still avaiable from the time before that advice was issued. One informative [American] link is: https://www.fda.gov//consu/paws-xylitol-its-dangerous-dogs
17.01.2022 PENGUIN: imagine a town without roaming Tom Cats During Sept 2020 Penguin Vet will desex the Tom Cats and Tom Kittens presented by Central Coast residents for a discounted price of $105 ... and also GIVE them a fully registered-for-life microchip. 09.01.2022 This is MAPLE, who was needing a home; but now has a super dooper good one!. She is guaranteed to sit on the newspaper crossword you are in the middle of, and to help you with any typing, knitting, telly watching etc that you might be doing. However she was nervy when she first arrived, and definitely needs a quiet inside-cat existence with adult owners and no other pets. She has been speyed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, litter-trained and given much TLC, so $170 will bring you a lifetime of black-cat love. Phone us 64371331 if interested

Born in 1997, Ra is now living out his retirement with the vet. We love him dearly, will always care for him, but he does miss his cronies and is delighted to be back here today. People, sit quietly where-ever you are, and you may hear the PURRRRRRR,
