18.01.2022 We would like to advise the community that we are not the new 10 cent container depot. If you are after fast service and still be paid cash, we will continue to buy aluminium cans for $4.20 per kilogram as we have always done. The Container for Change centre will be located across the road from us.

16.01.2022 URGENT DONATIONS ONCE IN A LIFE TIME OPPORTUNITY TO HELP WILDLIFE PLEASE SHARE I need your urgent help tonight. We have been given a once in a life time opp...ortunity to help our wildlife. It relies on us raising sufficient money to buy enough pellets to feed our starving wildlife due to the fires. We have been able to obtain a helicopter free of charge, fully crewed from McDermott Aviation which will amazingly allow us to drop pellets to feed the starving kangaroos, wombats and wallabies. This is what we have been trying to work towards behind the scenes. It will allow us to get to these precious wildlife that are struggling due to the fires. Who are starving. Who need help right now or they will die. We need your urgent help tonight to make this happen. We need to raise enough money to make the trips worthwhile. To stock the helicopter with enough pellets to go across to feed out wildlife who are crying out for our help. We need to initially raise $50,000. This will allow us to properly stock the helicopter with enough food for multiple trips. We can’t undertake these trips unless we have enough funds to know it is worthwhile. $20 helps fund a sack of kangaroo pellets. Can you answer our call? Can you answer the call of our starving wildlife crying out for help? This is our most urgent call for help ever. We can make a material difference tonight and save lives. Just $5 from each and every one of you would get us to our goal. It’s just the cost of a cup of coffee in the morning but one that will help save a life. I promise it will be the best money you spend all week and you will remember it forever. You will be part of directly giving hope and helping our starving wildlife survive. I’m hoping that when I wake up in the morning we have reached our goal. Please donate now: https://wildlife-rescue-sunshine-coast-inc.giveeasy.org/hel

08.01.2022 Thankyou to all who have donated and dropped off supplies for the bush fire victims in the past week. We have sent items off express post to the wildlife refuges who were in desperate need of specific items and the remainder has been dropped off to the Rescue Collective MtGravatt and Beechmere wildlife op shop as they are sending trucks down to distribute the items. For now we will be still taking all sewing items for the animals, vet wrap, f10 vet disinfectant and Manuka ve...t wound cream. These are the specific items that some refuges have told us are in high demand (in 2 days they use 6 vet wraps and 3 burns creams). These will be directly sent to small family run refuges with the express postage costs donated by Peninsula Metal Recycling. We have found some distributors who have given us substantial discounts so a huge Thankyou and shout out to Abode Realty who donated $500. We were then able to purchase 6 bottles of the 1 ltr disinfectant that is normally $155 for 1 ltr. These were distributed today and some sent down to specific wildlife refuges in need of it. Thankyou to all the business who have donated medical supplies, in particular Woodypoint Pharmacy who sources $2500 of retail value supplies , Fluid first aid Northlakes for their donation of bandages and Redcliffe Chemist warehouse for supplies. Thankyou also to the community for trusting us with your items to send and those who made monetary donations for us to purchase the bigger ticketed items and then send them to those refuges in need to help our injured wildlife. It has been heartwarming to be involved with our community to help in some small way.

02.01.2022 Donations of items listed below can be dropped off to Peninsula Metal Recycling and we will deliver to a Rescue Collective site. With continuing bushfires with some still out of control our native animals need our help.
