24.01.2022 "These five minutes have been the best five minutes of my life." Tony Finau plays a hole with a young fan at the Mayakoba Golf Classic. #TOURVault

22.01.2022 To all the boys and girls from the academy starting rep cricket this week & next, Jayde and I wish you all the best. Remember the work you have done this year and the reasons you’ve been selected. It’s not an accident that your are there. ... Don’t put too much pressure on yourself and remember why you play this great game. It’s good fun. ( most of the time) We will watch closely and we love the fact that you are working so hard at your game. You’re legends.

21.01.2022 What a legend. Whatever your passion, it just goes to show if you’re prepared to sacrifice and work hard you will get your desired result. Maybe not straight away, but eventually you get what you deserve. Darwin and now the Junction Oval will be better for having BAPO prepare their wickets. I’m going back to play at St. Kilda to bat on his wickets again. ... Well done champion.

16.01.2022 Hi All, We hope amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, that you and your families are keeping well, and are looking forwad to returning to all sports, as much as we are! It is with great pleasure that we advise you, that the PCA are doing everything possible behind the scenes to ensure our winter program gets up and running, when authorities give us the green light to do so!... After a very sucessful program last winter, Jayde and I have again been working together to provide the next generation of cricketers the best opportunity to fast track their development through a high performance academy. Throughout the program the players will be yet again challenged in every aspect of the game. PHYSICALLY - We will work to develop strength and agility, along with fitness that is relevant to the game. MENTALLY - This is not a CLINIC! There will be an expectation from the players to develop themselves outside of the program also. Throughout the program, the players will be taken out of their comfort zone, which will help them overcome difficulities on game day. SKILLS - A large part of the program is honing in on skill development. We work with the players from basic setup through to covering all aspects of the game. After reviewing results during last summer, we can confidentally say the program had enourmous impacts on player development. We had 17 new players make their respective league rep side debuts, bowlers having career best seasons, and batters making their first ever 50's & 100's. The most pleasing and rewarding part of the program was the players that partcipated were able to go back to their home club team with a skillset that didn't only help them, but helped their team mates. The Academy welcomes existing members and any new players wanting to develop their game to the 2020 winter program, where we will provide you with the skills to give you the best opportunity to further your cricket for the future. Expression of interest/registration forms can be requested by emailing [email protected]. Once these forms are received and processed we can make direct contact with players and families to confirm further details. Regards Matt & Jayde

15.01.2022 Great control and repeats action every time. A lot of hours spent mastering this. Not a coincidence he is one of the best.

11.01.2022 A classic domestic one-day knock from Brad Hodge ... but was he robbed at the 0.59 mark!?

10.01.2022 The Bamawm Lockington United Cricket Club players and supporters would like to thank Matt and Jayde for the fantastic support and generosity to our club whilst ... constructing 2 indoor training nets recently. Without such kind people this project would of been very difficult to complete. This provides the region a training facility that can be used during the winter and looking forward to developing players to their full potential. Thanks guys, we’re looking forward to showing the nets to you all. Building a better community together. See more

09.01.2022 The game we love will be back before we know it. Such a small sacrifice to make to save the lives of others., to go without the game we love. Stay safe and enjoy this time with loved ones.... Happy Easter

07.01.2022 Works for everyone this drill.

07.01.2022 **Bushfire Appeal with a difference** On Sunday 2nd Feb at Mt Eliza Football/Cricket Club some of the best local (& hopefully international - pending Big Bash c...ommitments) cricketers and footballers will be coming together to raise much needed funds for the Bushfire victims. This will be one of the biggest (if not the biggest) sporting event the local community has ever seen. Already some of the support from the clubs themselves has been amazing! I have been lucky enough to be selected in one of the teams so yes I am looking for a player sponsor but if there is anything else you could contribute towards the day it would be greatly appreciated by those in need! Whilst I certainly don’t regard myself as an insta or Facebook influencer.. I would be happy to support your business by sharing any of your business facebook posts for the next 12months (in addition to the below package). WIN/WIN. Your business gets some great exposure to kick start your 2020 and some people in need get some much needed financial support. Love to see you and your families down at Mt Eliza on 2nd Feb for a cracking day.

07.01.2022 That shot at 3:22! This week seven years ago, Phillip Hughes made history by becoming the first Australian men's player to hit a century on ODI debut.

06.01.2022 Good evening all As you are aware we have had some significant changes to how we live and interact with each other whether it be work , sport or family. As frustrating as it is we need to make sure we follow the rules not only for our safety but so we can make sure we are all out playing the sport that we love (CRICKET) as soon as possible. ... Our ten session winter program WILL still run with some drastic changes. More than likely we will be heading straight outdoors with a few indoor sessions to work on some important things. This information will be posted shortly and touch wood we can get together and work on our games and also adapt to potential rule changes and training techniques. We thank you for your patience and continued support. Matt.

04.01.2022 Fingers crossed today as we await the government’s next stage of restrictions. If we get good news it’s time to fire up the academy again and get the young cricketers back into some elite training. Will have some details following our news today. ... Hope everyone has been doing well during this time.
