25.01.2022 It has been a year like no other and sadly today we lost one of our biggest supporters my beautiful grandma, but I know she is smiling down on us all. Forever in my heart 2020 hit us hard, having to restructure everything nightly and sometimes even more. S.M.A.R.T got put on hold as did all our other adventures while we blindly navigated our way through covid. We exciting set up the new office and even though it looks like a Christmas wonderland at the moment it's been am...azing hearing the kids laugh and share stories face to face again. Even the adults got into hiding ELF and it was so nice seeing the Christmas spirit shared. Thousands got delivered to families in need, some for rent, some for food and some just to keep the bills at bay. The community backed and spoilt a special family and vouchers from my lovely surgeon got handed out too. That has been the only positive of having a broken foot the last year. While pins and a limp will follow me into the new year, so will my passion, my drive and excitement of all the great things we have planned for next year. Just watching my clients navigate the last few months has absolutely blown me away with their resilience, strength and drive. Finding hidden covid talents in my resin and candles has been a joy to share with you all, for someone that has no creativity in her body I think I do alright . I will be starting the S.M.A.R.T assessments as soon as I am back so make sure you have filled out your sections and posted them back to the office please. Intake for the Salt Mindfulness Group (I will elaborate on structure in the new year) will happen on my return too. If you haven't got your S.M.A.R.T Induction Pack I am sneaking into the office over the next couple of days to get them out to you so please don't stress. I will be on leave till the 11th of January. 21.01.2022 Hi everyone I have 2 young boys age 4 & 6 that lost their dad recently. I am putting together some Christmas presents for the family. The boys love outdoor stuff, music, science....... 19.01.2022 Good Morning Everyone, This is the last week to apply for the S.M.A.R.T program to be funded either partially or fully so pm your mail address (post) for an induction pack to be sent out. Assessments will be starting after Christmas and then children placed in groups according to age/needs/ locations ect. Children with NDIS plans can have the program billed to themselves or planners if there goals align with the program.... Locations will vary with need, minimum of ten per location and we currently have from the Mornington Peninsula to Rural Areas interested. 09.01.2022 For everyone that donated money and gifts for the family I mentioned the other day I can't thank you enough. I know they will be blown away with everyones generosity and have no idea that half my car is filled with gifts for them. They where excited just to get help before Christmas so I know you will be bringing many smiles Tuesday. A big shout out to Miss A who helped me hobble around the shops yesterday getting everything for the family and then beautifully spent hours wra...pping everything for me. Cause we all know how much I hated wrapping . For those that are enquiring about the job, my services or anything to do with Peninsula Counselling & Care besides the case I just mentioned may I ask you to either email as requested or go through the page messenger and not my personal please. Please like the page as I post all group, service updates & everything else on here. I get endless questions daily till all hours requesting information that has just been posted on the page. I am now working up till boxing day to get everyone settled and a smooth transition into the new year before I have some time off and everything is back to back. Please don't message thinking I can fit you in before Christmas and get angry if I can't as it's been happening daily and not realistic. I know everyone is in a bad way and trying to get in before organisations close over chrissy but I am only one person. I advise you to get into your doctor, LAC, S.C, Orange Door, Community Supports, Psych, Support Worker, Triage ect if you are needing extra services over chrissy. Hopefully these services will be able to either support you or guide you in a better direction depending on your needs. I say this with love in my heart as I'm seeing the devastation of the pandemic through your eyes too. I have been offering my services free of charge breaking down plans, getting people ready for reviews, direct support and therapeutic services. Individuals don't realise this usually entails me working back late or giving up my weekend on-top of the other roles I do and funding packages I have sorted out to make the service accessible to all. This will not continue in the new year. Im so excited to announce behind the scenes I've been a busy bee newly connecting to some other soul traders. Between us all our clients will not fall through the gaps and have the best of best supports, services, information and all there needs met. It's so great to connect with others that have the passion, drive and love for the job like I do. 01.01.2022 For All The Beautiful Souls That Helped Me Make A Special Christmas Come True - Lots Of Love Em I'll Leave This Here Oh Em,... I'm still crying. I just can't believe how lucky we are. Community has always been so important to us, we've always been really involved and covid hit when we needed it the most. The boys especially couldn't understand why our lives were so rich and full and then they lost their dad, friends and community all at once. This has made us all feel so special, loved and reminded us that we are part of a beautiful world. This Christmas is missing so much for us this year and it's been almost unbearable to think They will never be the same but you've bought some light and filled the space in our hearts with love. I'm not religious but I swear we have had some angels this year and you are one of them. Thank you for our Christmas miracle
