25.01.2022 Great night last night everyone. Thanks for supporting us and a special welcome to the new starters. New routines in the Beginners class and Intermediate class are going well. Lots of laughs while learning the moves. Well done everyone. It was lovely to see some old faces come back to classes. See you all next week. Special thanks to our wonderful helpers - we could not do it without you - Jan Foster and Steve Moore on front desk as well as helping during the night and especially Jan I the Intermediate class, Kay Badger for helping Norman with the Beginners, and not forgetting Deanna Preston, Noel Preston, Gaye Buchanan and Michael Ellis for their help with set up etc. Much appreciated everyone. 21.01.2022 Dear Peninsula Rockers Sadly we are in Lockdown again until next Thursday, 3 May. Let’s all hope that the Lockdown will be only for 7 days. As a result Peninsula Rockers classes are cancelled for Tuesday, 1 May and we will keep you informed as to when classes will resume. We hope you all keep well and safe during this period. 21.01.2022 Dear Peninsula Rockers From today and until further notice our Rock n Roll classes are on hold due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus. It is very sad to find ourselves in such a volatile global situation. Many of us have not before experienced such tragedy on our doorstep as wars and other viruses have mainly been in other countries. As the health of our group members is of paramount importance (especially as many of us fall in the over 50s age bracket) we do not want to pla...ce anyone in unnecessary risk of contamination. 15.01.2022 Awesome night everyone from the Beginners to the line dancing in the Intermediates had lots of fun. A big thank you to Steve Moore and Jan Foster for manning the door and making everyone feel so welcome as well as helping out during the night. Also a huge thank you to Kay Badger for helping Norm in the first 2 classes. And not forgetting the tremendous job Pete does with the line dancing. So much fun was had by all. 14.01.2022 Hi everyone Due to the latest covid outbreak Rye Bowls has unfortunately had to make the decision to postpone this Sundays Social Event ‘Elvis’ When we have got a new date Steve and I will contact the people who have booked seats to see if they are available on the new date. we are very disappointed but really want our friends to stay safe and healthy. please let your friends etc know if this postponement. thanks. 13.01.2022 Another big night at Peninsula Rockers with 57 in class tonight all eager to learn to rock n roll. Big thanks to jan foster and Steve Moore who did not only front desk but also helped with all the beginners. Also Phyllis and Gaye for their great input. Everything helps. In the last 3 weeks we have had 27 new dancers join our classes. Amazing. Our resident photographer and reporter Jill Forrester could not make it tonight hence no pics tonight. 05.01.2022 Sad to hear the high number on the Peninsula Jillian Forrester. Coronavirus is the invisible enemy. We cannot be complacent. Just heard on 3 AW. Live as if you have got it so that you self isolate yourself from everyone. Chat on FaceTime with friends. Remember many of our dance group are singles. They need to have a chat. Give them a call. Above all be safe everyone. Let’s all aim to all be together at the end of this horrible pandemic.
03.01.2022 Hi Peninsula Rockers Hope you all received our email. We have decided to cancel classes tonight due to the Covid restrictions imposed today.
