15.01.2022 Hisense are about to release onto the Australian tv market a television that will give LG (OLED) & Samsung (QLED) some serious competition. Both technologies OLED & QLED (with a high amount of local dimming zones) have been able to reproduce near to perfect black levels. Why is it important to have perfect blacks ? The answer is a television that can reproduce perfect black levels will enhance the contrast and colour and make the image stand out. Hisense have come up with the...ir own methodology to get closer to true black levels. Hisense call it Dual Cell TV. How has Hisense achieved this? By employing two precision-bonded LCD layers (one cell for colour processing and the other cell is used for grayscale/luminance processing), Hisense says its new 65-incher is able to produce a lighting effect equivalent to having over 2 million dimming zones, delivering near-OLED black levels without sacrificing brightness.
