22.01.2022 PSC SPRING UPDATE NOVEMBER 2020 Well what a 2020 it has been, a truly unique year like no other and one that has unfortunately affected everybody. Our beloved board riders club is no exception and with the second round of lockdowns came and even longer hibernation period for the club and the 2020 season. We sincerely wish all of our member, sponsors and friends plenty of waves, lots of sales and all the very best as we move towards 2021.... With things getting better by the day here in Victoria the committee had a chance to meet last week and make some important decisions regarding the 2020 and 2021 seasons. The first of these decisions was to forfeit the 2020 competitive season. Our club like so many community sporting organisations wont be crowning any champions this year ... 22.01.2022 To our members, Due to current circumstances we have unfortunately had to extend the pause on our 2020 season. We will again wait for conformation from the state government and surfing Victoria to recommence the aggregate season. We have fortunately locked away lots of weekends for potential contests from September through to the end of the year. At this stage we are still hopeful of completing a full season of competition. ... We wish all of our members and greater surfing community the best through these tough times and we look forward to getting the tents set up at the beach for comp 2 soon. PSC Committee.

21.01.2022 PSC COVID CLASSIC 2020 Saturdays Covid Classic was a perfect example of the Peninsula Surfriders in all its glory. As Jackson Trotman put it during the afternoon, "its just good honest fun". We were greeted early at Rye carpark with a dropping swell and still conditions. As the early rounds of Open got underway the wind decided to swing stiff offshore and begin grooming the swell for us. The ensuing rounds of competition were held in pumping conditions all of which was captur...ed by Paul and Al from Peninsula Sports Photography. I'd like to give a big thanks to these guys for sharing their work with our members. Read full report at www.psc.org.au

20.01.2022 Hi Supergroms and families, Well with the swell forecast looking good, we will be running our first and only Supergroms for the year this Sunday the 6th. Meeting at Crunchie Pt ( Point Leo) at 12pm. As there is a large swell and strong westerly winds predicted, we will be looking for a sheltered spot to run the contest. Possible sites are Treloars, Little Noosa or Atlas. We will make the call on the day.... As per normal we will be running Girls and Boys in Under 15, 13, 11, and 9s. Also the Point Leo Ranger has asked me to remind you all that no dogs are allowed in the reserve, and that they have started collecting car parking contributions. Looking forward to seeing you all there on Sunday. Cheers from the Supergroms committee.

We will have to follow the Covid rules that are in play at the time, but we will know more on that closer to the day. There will be a $10 entry fee to help with insurance and running costs, a registration form will need to be filled out on the day. Looking forward to seeing you all there. Cheers from the Supergroms Committee.
