20.01.2022 Thanks to a Moreton Bay Regional Council Local Community Support Grant we received recently, we have been able to install security cameras at Filmer Park. Should any irregular activity occur the cameras will help to explain any incidents and hopefully detect the culprits. Thanks to MBRC once again. PJ

19.01.2022 What's New Year's Eve got in store for you? If you are in the usual "not really sure" category come down to the club from 6PM to celebrate in a safe and comfortable way with friends. Bring a friend as well! Kids welcome. Fridge will be stocked with well-priced drinks but please bring a plate of finger food or snacks. Dance floor available so bring your best moves. See you there. 17.01.2022 There is nothing better than to play a game of cricket with your mates. Win, lose or draw just hanging out, taking the piss out of each other and laughing is music for the soul. Today one of our beloved young all rounders Lachlan Gatherer nearly single handedly got us a first innings win. Starting the day at 0-66 chasing 116 the opposition were in the box seat. The young fella had them 8-86 at one stage and finished with career best figures of 8-33. ... It was an awesome spell of bowling. We couldn’t have been happier to see that performance from one of Redcliffe Cyclones talented juniors who’s made the step over to the seniors at Peninsula.

15.01.2022 All done. Renovated nets in action for the first time tonight with the Open Juniors training. Thanks to Midas Weld for the work and the Moreton Bay Regional Council COVID-19 Community Infrastructure Revitalisation Grant for the funding. No excuses now lads - I am prediciting wins aplenty for the Peninsula CC summer teams. PJ

12.01.2022 I had the pleasure of having a chat with the great man Jim Marks this morning as he did his daily ride through Filmer Park on his push bike. Looking forward to getting an interview with Jim on the history of the club through his eyes for our new website (coming soon). Jim said as he was leaving, he often pulls up on the Georgina St side of Filmer Park, looks across the ground and to the club house and smiles. ... He’s proud to see PCC going from strength to strength. That’s not hard I said when you have a solid foundation to work from, which I thanked him for.

10.01.2022 On behalf of the Peninsula Cricket Club committee I'd like to wish all our members, sponsors and supporters a safe and happy xmas, and a new year that will hopefully be a bit easier than this one has been for many of us. I'd like to thank the volunteer committee and all our volunteers whose efforts enable us to play cricket on such a great ground in a terrific location, all year round. 06.01.2022 Thanks to everyone for all the efforts getting the Filmer pitch prepared during the week. Covers on, off, on, off again, mowing and rolling. And also picking up the huge amount of grass on the outfield. It's grass growing season that's for sure. Alas all cricket is off for the weekend due to the lockdown. The club will be shut from 5.30pm tonight. Hopefully it will all be good for training during the week. Keep calm and watch the test match PJ
