22.01.2022 ATHLETE/PARENT ATTENDANCE AT LANDY Parent/Athlete entrance ONLY via Swanston Street. No cars in Landy Field. NO parent/athlete entrance via West gate (behind comp office). This is only access for Club committee & GLAC committee members & their athletes. This gate will be locked at 8.40am.... 22.01.2022 It is with great excitement that we share U/16 Evander Scott’s epic 800m track record. Evander not only broke his Club record for the 2nd time this Season but he broke the 5 year old Geelong record with a time of 2:07.86. A 15 year old club record fell yesterday by U/13 Jasmine King. Jazz broke the 28.37cm Javellin throw record with a amazing distance of 30.97cm Congratulations to both of these athletes. Such amazing achievements so early on in the season ... Please note we have experienced some technical difficulties with results this weekend. If you feel your child has broken a record then please contact us to review and acknowledge the results

22.01.2022 We would like to thank all the athletes and their families for their efforts and support throughout the season. We have had a fantastic season both on and off the field and we feel the club is in a great position going forward. As we are unable to acknowledge and honor our athletes achievements in person, we have attached our clubs presentation report. Congratulations everyone, what a fantastic result!!!... I would like to commend all our athletes for their enthusiasm and great sportsmanship throughout the season. There have been many great achievements from our athletes at club, regional and state level and representing GLAC in relays. We had one athlete break a Geelong record and 10 athletes break 17 club records which 7 of these were broken on Championship day. What a fantastic result. The Committee are very proud of all the athletes and what they have achieved throughout the season. All athletes achieved great Personal Best results this season with many receiving either a 20 or 40 PB Certificate. Well done everyone!

You must register your attendance before entering Landy! Please be patient when waiting! QR Codes will be available along the fence line. NO SPECTATORS All ages above 12 must wear masks! All COVID Protocols must be abide by. More informationwill be emailed out to all clubs members and tryouts by Friday! Please read the GLAC COVID SAFETY Protocols on our website!

09.01.2022 Save the Dates Peninsula Presentation will be held either Friday 27th March 5.30pm to 7.30pm or Saturday 28th March 10.00am to 12.00pm. This is due to St Thomas's Athletics Carnival being cancelled tonight and possibly postponed to Friday 27th March. Once confirmed, I will advise as we have quite a few families who have athletes that attend this Primary School.

09.01.2022 Week 4 - record breakers-Ok here it is.... we have 3 amazing athletes who have broken records at today’s Athletics event....... The first notable mention is Evander Scott U/16’s Boys- broke the 400m record with a time of 36.41... which broke his previous record from 3 weeks ago ... that was a 8 year old record. We also want to mention that Evander also broke the 800m record in week 2 with a time of 2:09.45. And the 1500m in week 3 with a time of 4:30.75 which was also an 8 ye...ar old record.CONGRATULATIONS such an amazing start to your Season. 2nd notable mention is Thomas McLean U14 Boys - who broke his brothers Discus record with a throw of 26.67. Fantastic achievement indeed keep up the great work. 3rd record breaker is Jasmine King U/13 Girls who broke the record she set 3 weeks ago for the 400m with a time of 1:02.70. Jasmine also broke 200m hurdles record in Week 2 with a time of 32.01 well done Jazz. The Club is super proud of these achievements.

05.01.2022 CHAMPIONSHIP DAY 7 March 2020 - Registrations have CLOSED. If you did not register unfortunately you cannot attend this Saturday (weekend off). PLEASE remember your BIB (put it on your singlet now) as the office will NOT be providing any emergency bibs this week. NO BIB NO COMPETITION! Attached is Championship day Schedule of Events it’s a little hard to read so you will need to zoom in a little.... Peninsula is on 'Pack Up Duty'. Could we please have as many families as possible to assist with pack up when required. Please note the following this Saturday. * We have a 'Guess the lolly Jar' for the athletes. Each athlete on the day can have a guess and the athlete with the correct guess or closest wins the lolly jar! This will be announced at 11am so make sure you get your guess in early! * We will be giving each athlete a cinnamon donut. Please come and see us at the desk when you are feeling peckish! * We will be running an Easter Hamper Raffle with lots of goodies. Tickets are $1.00 and can be purchased at Reception desk. It will be drawn same day. Please come and support the club by purchasing a ticket or two. I would like to thank the Mavromihalis Family for donating a Pharmacy gift pack to go towards our Easter Hamper Raffle

03.01.2022 DATE SET Presentation will be held on Friday 27 March 2020 at Drysdale Football Club Rooms commencing 5.30pm to 7.00pm. Good luck to all the athletes competing this weekend at Casey Fields, we wish you all the best.... Thank you to all who supported and bought raffle tickets last Saturday. We raised $386.15 which was a fantastic effort! Congratulations to Tannah Hildebrand in Under 9's for breaking a GLAC record on Saturday in 60m Hurdles with a time of 10.81 sec, what a fantastic achievement. A number of Peninsula records were also broken on Saturday. Athletes will be announced at Presentation.
