12.01.2022 WORKING FROM HOME . With COVID-19 dictating our lives at the moment, most people have found themselves working from home, a situation that is foreign to most people. Here are some tips to stay on top of your nutrition related goals during this time: Set structured breaks in your day as you would at work. Use this time to make a cuppa, eat some food, get some fresh air or go for a walk.... Don’t eat while you’re working. This may be something you regularly do in the office, but try not to do it at home, especially when most people are working from the dining room table. Take the break and eat your food in a mindful way, without distraction. Remove temptations. If you find yourself distracted by the kitchen or the pantry then make sure the foods distracting you aren’t available. Pack your lunch. If you find it too hard to not be distracted by the kitchen, try packing your lunch as you would if you were at work, then you know that what’s in your lunchbox is what you will eat throughout the day. Move more. With more time on your hands with no need to commute, use this time to do an online workout or go for a walk or a run. Do this daily as your incidental exercise has most likely decreased by not having to leave the house. Exercise and fresh air is good for the body and the mind.
