22.01.2022 MESSAGE FROM COULSON AVIATION CEO WAYNE COULSON January 23, 2021 marks the first anniversary of the loss of Captain Ian McBeth, First Officer Paul Hudson and ...Flight Engineer Rick DeMorgan in a tragic accident in New South Wales, Australia. Ian, Paul and Rick were among 25 community members and six firefighters lost during the devastating Australian bushfire season last year. Ian, Paul and Rick were outstanding aviators and heroes in the aerial firefighting industry and our company. The Australian community, especially Peak View, will be forever grateful for their work and skill, as we are. We will never forget them. Myself, Suze, Foster and Britt recognize that this will be a difficult time for the families and loved ones of Ian, Rick and Paul, as well as their colleagues and friends. We are a global aviation company, but as a third generation family business, we are ultimately, a people company. We couldn’t do what we do without the heroic efforts of each and every Coulson team member. Those of you who knew Ian, Paul and Rick will mark the first anniversary in your own way. Some will be attending a local memorial at the site of the accident, and others will have a moment for themselves. Please join us in saying a prayer for the families in memory of our fallen heroes.
