22.01.2022 TROOPER JASON BROWN (1981 2010) (This is an article written by former club President Ross Ruhan) Jason played mainly on the wing or centre. He was a quiet, polite boy, respectful of coaching staff and administrators within the club. Jason was well liked and held in high regard by his fellow players. He was of average height and weight tending to be of smaller build, but I never saw him take a backward step and he played with a steely determination, uncompromising, yet with ...a spirit of fairness and respect for the opposition. These were no doubt characteristics which later enabled him to become a member of the elite SAS Regiment. Jason loved Rugby League and his loyalty to the stags was unquestioned as he played at least 14 seasons with our Club. Jason enjoyed considerable success and we understand he played in at least 5 Grand finals winning 2 of these. The words that describe the character and demeanor of an SAS soldier applied to Jason: Commitment Knowledge Loyalty Confidence Persistence Perseverance Patience Trooper Brown was serving with the Special Operations Task Group in Afghanistan when he tragically lost his life in the service of his country on Friday 13 August 2010. The Stags Family will always remember our fellow Stag - Trooper Jason Brown. Today, games are being played in his honour.

13.01.2022 T H A N K Y O U ! to everyone that supported CAN DO! Week. The Stags alongside Pennant Hills Demons AFL contributed over 300 items to assist Cherrybrook Anglican Church for Anglicare's Annual Food Drive. The wider Cherrybrook Community, local public schools and Greenway Park Sporting Community collected in total 2300 items to be sent to Anglicare to assist many people in need. This year the need was critical due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Cherrybrook Anglican Church and Anglicare have also thanked The Stags for the use of our winter season clubroom for storage and packing. This really simplified the storage, sorting and packing logistics required for this years Annual Food Drive.
