25.01.2022 One of the best things about building your own home is the ability to add your own personal touches. I (Jean, not Brad!) have always wanted a built-in bookshelf. We factored it in when working with the architects on the design of the house and I couldn't be happier. A spot to display not just our books, but bits and pieces we've collected throughout the years. Cupboards underneath to house games etc.

14.01.2022 Well, it's been a while since we've posted here. We have been very busy moving, unpacking, sorting and celebrating mini-Brads 1st birthday! I thought it was time to share some photos of the finished house. I will slowly add photos over the coming weeks to give the full picture. Brad has done an amazing job and it is a real testament to his workmanship and skill. The first images are of the hub of our home... The kitchen.

13.01.2022 House update! Brad worked on the deck all weekend. It's looking amazing (photos to come!). The island bench (see photo) for the kitchen is at the house ready to be installed. The whole kitchen will be installed this weekend! After that there will be a lot happening so I'll be posting lots of photos!! 12.01.2022 While things have been quiet on our FB page, things have been progressing nicely at the block. Brad has been busy getting ready to start the deck, the bathroom cabinets are ready to be installed and curtains and blinds have been selected. Still a lot more to do so hopefully more photos in the coming weeks!!

12.01.2022 Quick trip out to the house today to drop some things off for the electricians. The floors and deck are being sanded. Looks amazing! It's feeling more and more like a home now.

11.01.2022 Mini-Brad is excited to announce that the kitchen cabinets are in! (His mummy is pretty excited too!!!)

05.01.2022 The deck is almost done! It looks fantastic. Mini-Brad carried out the crawl test and gave it the smile of approval :-)

05.01.2022 The electricians have done a fantastic job. It's so nice to have lights now! Our air conditioners were also installed last week. While we have planned the house to capture the breezes and ensure plenty if air flow, we still live in North Queensland so air con is a must! We have opted for ducted air conditioning and Ben has done a brilliant job with the installation! Next to be completed are the floors and our beautiful hand rails.
