17.01.2022 CORONAVIRUS / COVID 19 UPDATE Currently, all scheduled shows at The Ellington are going ahead as planned. With our capacity being much smaller than 500, we are ...not affected by the government ban on large events. Your health and safety is of utmost importance to us. As of today, we are heavily increasing all cleaning, disinfecting and sanitation practises. If you are feeling unwell, please do not enter the venue and put other patrons at risk. If attending a show, please practise good hygiene by washing your hands frequently and sanitising them. In these uncertain times with many larger events being cancelled, small live music venues like us and the musicians that play on our stages absolutely need your support in order to survive. Many musicians will be losing work from larger events, and will be relying on their income from performances at smaller venues like us. If you are in good health, please keep coming to shows at The Ellington, and keep supporting other local venues, shows and musicians too. We are paying close attention to updates from the national, state and local governments, and have confidence in the Western Australian government’s pandemic plan. WA has a very low number of cases compared to other states. Being such a remote city, Perth is in good stead to contain and avoid this virus. 15.01.2022 Sadly, my quartet's gig on Friday evening is being rescheduled. Whilst I am so disappointed, it's an important step in keeping us all safe. Please hang on to your tickets if you have already booked, I look forward to sharing a new date with you very soon! Thoughts go out to all the staff at The Ellington Jazz Club - Perth, all the artists that had shows booked this week, and all in the Arts industry, trying times for sure and I can't wait until these days are well behind us!
