15.01.2022 Not the Melbourne Cup Week in the shop has been a great success this year. This lovely little Christmas Tree block by 'Diary of a Quilter' https://www.diaryofaquilter.com//modern-christmas-tree-qui was the Mystery block of the week. Four days different Sit 'N Sew groups had fun sewing their blocks, having morning tea and lunch,(served to them with tongs!) and champagne and orange! After lunch the traditional shop race saw a new winner each day. This years race was to sew a four-patch as quickly as possible. The first three to finish had their points inspected for the best join! And finally on Friday, all our participants were in the running to win the fabric bundle - 6 FQ's of 'Elephant Fun' The lucky winner this year was Robyn B.

13.01.2022 We had a sewing day with Jan showing how she had started her "Groove Is In The Heart" by Rachaeldaisy quilt. With the girls help we chose another 20 fabrics to add to and compliment the first Starter Kit. Looking Lovely Girls! Oh and I might just pop in a photo of our Birthday girl - Poppy one year old, fills our hearts with love!

All names of participants in the draw for the Melbourne Cup Fabric Bundle. Shared Non-Communal Food and Champagne and orange juice for lunch Tuesday to Friday. ‘Groove is in the Heart’ Did you buy a starter kit for Rachaeldaisy’s ‘Groove is in the Heart’ quilt? If so, this is a free day of sewing where you can start the quilt with Penny’s help. November 7th 9.30 to 12.30 Continue sewing until 2.30 unsupervised ‘Winding Ways’ OR ‘Dresden Squared’ with Wendy and Mary Wendy and Mary team up together again to give you two wonderful pieced quilts to try, with a trick or two to make them easier than they look!
