23.01.2022 The pursuit of greatness. Ever since I’ve starting racing at the elite level there’s been a fire within to be better every.single.day. If I’m honest I want to be the best right now, but I know an athlete isn’t build over night and it takes years of consistent training and hard work to get there. Being down in jindy again brings back memories of my trips here over the years. One specific ride in fact; Charlottes pass, the first time I did the loop 6 years ago in well over f...our hours and thought I was going to die at the end 2 years ago I did it in about 3:35-still was cooked at the end. Yesterday I did the loop in 3:10 and ran off the bike. Perspective is a wonderful thing. I want to be the best and sometimes get caught up in the now and the future and forgot to look at how far I’ve come. Reflection is a wonderful tool to bring confidence and assurance.
