25.01.2022 YEAR 11 GRADES ADMISSION PATHWAY Flinders University acknowledges that 2020 has been a challenging year for many students. Due to the social and educational disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Flinders University has introduced Year 11 Grades Admission Pathway, in addition to the existing range of entry pathways. 21.01.2022 9-A-SIDE FOOTBALL Congratulations to the Penola High School Year 8/9 Girls and the Year 10 Girls, who competed in the 9-A-Side Football Carnival held at Naracoorte today. In very warm conditions all the girls, of varying, sporting ability, were very competitive and showed great team spirit. Well done all girls who participated, especially the Year 10 girls who came away victors of both games they played.

20.01.2022 LET’S LOOK AT.YEAR 8 HOME ECONOMICS The Year 8 Food & Textiles class learnt skills and techniques in sewing recently. Students learnt to master threading a needle, cutting patterns and straight stitching to create some colourful and creative face masks and little monsters.

18.01.2022 YEAR 12 FAREWELL ASSEMBLY Last Friday was the last day of formal lessons for our Year 12 students for 2020. Students began the day with a breakfast provided and cooked by staff at Greenrise Reserve, with formal proceedings getting under way with a whole school assembly back at school. Year 12 Year Level Organiser, Chloe Long, conducted the last roll call, with each student being presented with a certificate and card. Students added their signatures to a framed photo of the gr...oup which will hang in the study room. We wish all students well in their exams and future endeavours. See more

18.01.2022 YEAR 10 FIRST AID As part of their Personal Learning Plan, students in Year 10 undertook First Aid Training at school today. Students learnt skills and knowledge required to perform CPR and recognise and respond to emergencies, including managing an unconscious casualty and control bleeding.

17.01.2022 LET'S LOOK AT...YEAR 8 STEM During a recent STEM lesson, Year 8 students were required to construct a boat using a piece of aluminium foil. Boats were then placed in water and weights were added to see how much they could hold. Students worked together in teams to come up with a design, and used problem solving skills to make improvements. Students also managed to stay dry during the process!
