25.01.2022 MEET THE TEAM Name: Alf (wild az will) Breed: Thoroughbred ... Sex: Gelding Height: 15hh Age: 7 years Colour: Bay/brown Level: Confident Beginner to advanced riders Personality: Pleaser - Loyal and hardworking, this horse is gold to equestrians. Their traits are sometimes similar to the sensitive types. This horse is usually more forward, on the aids, and reacts quickly. They don’t need to be told something twice. And while their work ethic is amazing, they can become frustrated at times. They’re so eager to please that aids need to be clear and understandable. Likes: Jumping, being social, pats, eating Dislikes: Nothing

25.01.2022 Three shades of grey

24.01.2022 Sometimes things just fall into place!!!! Charlotte has being riding Honey for some time now during her riding lessons at Penrice Park. Honey had made it quite clear to Kim & I that she wasn’t overly keen on being a lesson horse and she would much prefer to be a one person horse so that she could connect with and build a friendship with that person. Then along come Charlotte and really the rest is history. ... Charlotte is onsite leasing Honey for the year having the responsibility, commitment and fun of having her own horse. Congratulations to the Cauchi family on this exciting new adventure that your embarking on!!!

16.01.2022 As most people know in March this year our mum, Carole, was diagonised with Stage 3 Colon cancer. I think its fair to say unless you have witnessed someone close to you go through being delivered the news that they have cancer and living through it with them, you never really understand how awful it really is or how bad it can get. Mum has gone through a major operation including a week stay in ICU, months of chemo treatment and a seven day stint in hospital because of the... chemo treatment all to get to today. This week we got the news that mums tests and scans have come back clear of cancer. Obviously we are all overjoyed by this news! Our business doesnt operate without the support of our family and during this difficult time everyone stepped up and helped to make sure we could operate as near to normal as possible. Biggest thankyou to you We would also like to thank all of our Wednesday students for their patience in regards to us cancelling lessons due to mums chemo treatment and to all of our students that sent love, well wishes and support to us and mum during this time. Demelza Gurnick the cake was beautiful thank you! Kim & Megan & the PPE team

13.01.2022 It’s funny yes but what shines through to me is this exhibitors resilience and attitude - some days things won’t be perfect you can’t control everything but you can control your emotions and attitude

13.01.2022 Some lessons still available for this Saturday

13.01.2022 Mitchell W has been attending sessions with us since last year. In the picture below the top photo is of his very first lesson and the bottom photo is from today. What an incredible improvement he has made with just one lesson a month!!!... Hippotherapy is a form of physical therapy that uses equine movement to develop and enhance neurological and physical functioning by channelling the movement of the horse. It is built on the concept that the individual and variable gait, tempo, rhythm, repetition and cadence of a horses movement can influence human neuromuscular development in humans. Horseback riding triggers a series of complex physical and mental reactions; such as making physical adjustments to maintain proper alignment on the horse. Riders must also plan movements to maintain balance on the horse, and be able to interact with the animal. Hippotherapy, through equine movement, works by further developing physical and cognitive abilities, including: Strength Control Balance Posture Endurance Coordination Sensory integration Understanding of visual cues

12.01.2022 MEET THE TEAM Name: Jax Breed: Station bred... Sex: Gelding Height: 14.1 hh Age: 8 years Colour: Bay Level: Beginner to experienced riders Personality: Mr. Reliable types make the best riding school ponies! Not upset by much, Mr. Reliable is just a dude. He’s willing, agreeable and fun loving. Usually not too forward moving, Mr. Reliable is careful to follow his rider’s instructions down to the smallest detail and generally make the ultimate ‘best friend’ horses. He will tolerate a lot, rarely gets upset, and is the type to (almost happily) put up with small children climbing all over him Likes: Jumping & grid work Dislikes: Carrots & Apples

08.01.2022 MEET THE TEAM Name: Bear Breed: Thoroughbred ... Sex: Gelding Height: 16 hh Age: 18 years Colour: Bay Level: Beginner to experienced riders Personality: The Old Reliable - This horse has been there, done that, and will stand next to you watching the rest of the herd interact. If he could talk, he’d have more wise things to say than any human mentor you’ve ever had. He’s beginner safe, but still has enough spunk in him to let riders know when their hand is too harsh or their spurs too abrupt. This horse is the grandfather of the barn, and all of the other horses have a mutual respect for him. Likes: Jumping, trail riding & oats Dislikes: Treats
