24.01.2022 Hi, Im a Womens Health Nurse Practitioner and Midwife. I work at Penrith Womens Health Centre on Fridays. I just wanted to let you all know that even though due the COVID 19 pandemic we have reduced our face to face clinical hours, we are still available for phone consultations and Telehealth. As a Nurse Practitioner I am able to provide bulk billed Telehealth or over the phone consultations.... In this stressful time, Ive had a think about the types of consults we could provide over the phone. Note: we do not do COVID 19 screening. You could call and make a booking for: Results Repeat prescriptions for the Pill or Menopausal Hormone Therapy Pregnancy and Post-Natal Support Unplanned pregnancy counselling Health education around screening i.e. cervix, breast and bowel cancers Sexual health advice Menopause and Midlife advice and counselling Initial assessments for contraceptive implants and Intra uterine devices Appropriate referrals Concerns you might have about your emotional and physical wellbeing. We have been implem...enting appropriate measures and listening to the latest advice from NSW Health on what risk management processes to follow. Given the latest advice Penrith Women’s Health Centre has modified the way we work Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate clients coming into the Centre All groups, programs and workshops have been postponed until next term All one on one client appointments have been cancelled for massage and the women’s health GP But we do offer the following services by phone Counselling appointments will go ahead via phone Casework appointments will go ahead via phone Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner appointments can go ahead via Telehealth (bulk billed) or via phone consultation (see more info below) WE ARE HERE FOR YOU Please phone the Centre if you need someone to talk to or just want a chat about how this is impacting you 4721 8749 Or email us anytime [email protected]



19.01.2022 Here at Penrith Womens health Centre we are committed to providing a high level of support to women and their children during this unsettling and unpredictable time. Our doors may be closed but we are still working remotely and in regular contact with women in need. Every women still has options and we are available to assist. 07.01.2022 COVID Connect A phone call to keep you socially connected. Good social connections are essential for all aspects of physical and mental wellbeing. While many of us are staying at home during COVID-19, it can be easy to feel isolated.... If you are not in regular contact with others, our COVID Connect service can help you. One of our volunteers would be happy to call you once or regularly for a friendly chat to help maintain or improve social connection. What is COVID Connect? COVID Connect is a free service from Australian Red Cross to provide support and community connection to people who are feeling socially isolated as a result of COVID-19. COVID-19 has impacted all Australians in one way or another. So its really important that no one faces it alone. Who is this service for? COVID Connect is for adults of all ages. It is available to anyone who is not in regular social contact with is experiencing isolation or loneliness. Note: It is not a service for people wanting assistance with their mental health or those who require assistance in a crisis.
