24.01.2022 Attention Saturday Learn to Skate and Saturday Morning Patrons, Unfortunately Penrith Skatel has had to make the tough decision tonight to cancel our Saturday morning classes from 9:30-10:30am as of tomorrow Saturday 21/3/2020 until further notice. With the average numbers we normal generate in our LTS classes and with the spectators that usually watching, we would be over the internal gathering of fewer than 100 people limit, that has now been prescribed by the government. ... In addition tomorrow the Saturday 10:30am - 12:30pm morning session will not be open to the general public this week, as we have several birthday party groups that have previously booked the premises. Tomorrow their numbers will be making up our limit for the internal gathering of 100 patrons for this Saturday morning session. More info for the remaining weekend sessions will follow shortly. Apologies for any inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding, Cheers Staff at Penrith Skatel Post edit: All remaining sessions scheduled for this weekend are open at the moment, but will be capped at 75 entries. Due to these restrictions all patrons will be required to pay on entry as we have limited space so are trying to give actual skaters more opportunity to have a skate. Indoor roller skating and rollerblading is an affordable and fun activity that is located just at the foot of the mountains in Emu Plains. Penrith Skatel is a fantastic way to keep the kids active these holidays (and during school terms too). We checked it out yesterday and loved it. The kids skated for three hours straight with just a few short drink and snack breaks. WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT PENRITH SKATEL Friendly staff and great service - The staff create a fun, relaxed atmosphere, help kids with their skates, play games on the rink and smile! It is a family-owned and run business. Affordable - For just $12 entry per child and $4 skate hire, if you need it, this is such an affordable activity. Long school holiday session - During the holidays Monday to Friday, kids can skate from 10am - 2pm. Skate for up to 4 hours for just $12! Safer skates for younger children - the small sizes for skate hire for the much younger children have been adjusted so that they are not too fast, which builds their confidence on the rink. Birthday Parties - Penrith Skatel are available for birthday party bookings! Learn to Skate - During the school term, Penrith Skatel has Learn to Skate classes that accept the Active Kids Voucher. Saturday SkateStars - Rock up on a Saturday morning (book online) for Saturday SkateStars Learn to State Class 9:45am 10:45am for just $14.00 you get a 1hr class + the Saturday Morning Session. The shop - You can buy great quality skates and funky knee-length socks at Penrith Skatel! Hot chips & slushies! Just $3.50 for a quick mid-skate snack and $3.00 for a perfectly cold refreshing slushy. RECOMMENDED AGES All ages can do this - they even have tiny size 7 skates to borrow for 18-month-olds! Obviously, younger children will need adult supervision on the rink and won't last very long on the rink. TIPS Online bookings are encouraged as some sessions get booked out (especially Saturday night Disco Night!), so book ahead online to be safe. In saying that, we just turned up and it was fine (as they were still within their 100 people limit). 19.01.2022 Please Note All Patrons of Penrith Skatel, We will be closing our doors to the general public as of today Monday 23/3/2020 after government has now restricted non-essential gatherings of all indoor sporting venues. Their advice has outlined it will be for a period of 4 weeks to hopefully reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 and give businesses like ours and people time to fully understand social distancing requirements.
