10.01.2022 2020 ACT BMX Championships - CANCELLED We regret to inform you that this years ACT Championships has been cancelled due to the current COVID19 conditions ...and travel restrictions in place between states and with no sign of this changing in the near future, this years event is not viable to run. We understand the disappointment for the riders and their families however we must consider the health and safety of the bmx community as a whole. What is important at this time is the members and families take care, stay safe and focus on the current government guidelines so we can beat this pandemic and get back to doing what we all love, racing! 06.01.2022 RIDE 4 KAI Ride 4 Kai is to raise much needed funds for Kai Sakakibara and his road to recovery and discovery after a major crash at Bathurst during a UCI r...acing event in February 2020. Kai is a BMX Olympic hopeful that has dominated the Australian Scene since being born and growing up on the Gold Coast. A challenge was set by Nerang BMX Club to Paul Gale of the Gold Coast Radio Station 1029 Hot Tomato breakfast show. Galey has accepted the challenge and will attempt to ride the Nerang BMX track for 24 hours straight starting at 8am on Thursday and finishing at 8am on Friday, 3 & 4 December 2020 to raise funds for Kai. 02.01.2022 RECOGNITION OF 2020 BMX ACHIEVEMENTS We have received a few questions regarding the presentations that, in a non-Covid year, would have occurred at the NSW Awar...ds Dinner or at the State Championships. Here’s how it will work this year. State Series Top 3 - riders will receive their jersey and presentation plate at the first State Series event in 2021. Instructions on how Top 3 riders can provide their jersey size will follow Round 6 - San Remo so keep an eye on this page. Pro Series Top 3 - riders will receive prize money this year, and recognition at the first State Series event in 2021. State Series Sprockets - riders will receive their presentation plate at the first State Series event in 2021. Parents, we will have a list of sprockets who participated in the 2020 State Series so there is no requirement for you to provide your rider's details. Graduating Sprockets - 7 year old sprockets entering Round 6 - San Remo will receive a graduation certificate, in recognition of their advancement to a competitive class in 2021. This certificate will be presented with their trophy after racing.
