20.01.2022 Congratulations to our 2020 HSC class on their well deserved results! We want to acknowledge all your hard work and effort, especially in this very disrupted year. Well done Year 12!

19.01.2022 A lovely article about Kindy teacher Jenny Allen

18.01.2022 Thank you to all of our parents and carers for your patience in these last weeks as we have managed our drop-off and pick-up routines. We are blessed with an onsite facility for doing this, and although it takes longer than we would like, these routines help to keep us safe. Please take the time to note the following: K-2 early pick-up at 2.40 pm will continue until the end of this week when we will revert back to the regular pick-up time of 2.55 pm. Parents are able to use t...he Simeon Rd entrance for this week only. Years 3-12 pick-up: if possible, please arrive on campus from 3.00 pm to allow our earlier traffic flow to move through; we will look after younger children until then. All parking on campus is rear to curb in Bays 3 and 5 only (not Bay 4 - this will clear exits faster). Please limit your use of the carpark to collect students; this slows down the Kiss and Go process as cars park and then attempt to leave, and also increases pedestrians through the carpark. Students in Years K - 4 must be met by an adult in the Kiss and Go (preferred) for staff to dismiss them. Students in Years 5 - 6 may be collected by a high school sibling if the class teacher has been informed of this arrangement. Thank you for your attention to these details, and for working to help with our morning and afternoon routines. Geraldine Paynter Deputy Principal

17.01.2022 Well done to Year 6 (and Mr de Martin for coordinating our students’ contributions) for participating in Inspiring the Future’s 'Drawing the future 2020' Campaign. There were some fantastic drawings and a wide range of career aspirations, from mechanic, hairdresser, engineer, artist, archeologist, zookeeper, all the way to Prime Minister! We are pleased to announce a $50 Officeworks Gift Card has been won for our school! Thank you @officeworks and Year 6 students!

17.01.2022 In January 2020 PCS sent a team of students, staff and parents to Divine Junior School in Uganda. We were able to bless the community with money for a much needed water tank. Sue Skuthorpe from New Hope International has sent this update . We have also been so blessed through our relationship with this wonderful School. Thanks PCS Community for your generosity and prayers.

16.01.2022 Last Wednesday, some of our PCS students from Years 5 and 6 competed in a CSSA Primary Sport Cricket Gala day. With limited training, the boys were nervous yet ready for the competition. Congratulations to the boys for being runners up in the competition! We are very proud of their efforts. A big thank you to staff member Mr Whale, as well as parents, Mrs Wild and Mr Prince, who assisted on the day.

12.01.2022 On Monday 8 February 2021, students participated in our annual Years 3-6 Swimming Carnival. We were blessed with an absolutely amazing day at Ripples Penrith, with students competing in a range of events throughout the day. There were a number of students who achieved personal bests on the day in their chosen events. We would like to give a special mention to Olivia Galea, who set an astonishing five school records which included: 11 Year Girls 50m Freestyle, 50m Breaststroke..., 50m Backstroke, 50m Butterfly and 100m Freestyle. 04.01.2022 On Wednesday 19 May it was National Simultaneous Storytime. At 11.00 am on this date, over a million children from all around Australia were reading or listening to the book ‘Give Me Some Space’ by Phillip Bunting. National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-school...s, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. Now in its 21st successful year, it is a colourful, vibrant, fun event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, using an Australian children's book that explores age-appropriate themes, and addresses key learning areas of the National Curriculum for Foundation to Year 6. This year was extra exciting as the story was read by astronaut Dr Shannon Walker from the International Space Station! Our Preschool, Prep and K-4 students gathered in the Auditorium to watch this event. The students were very excited and many have been borrowing books from the library about space this week. It is always wonderful to see the students getting excited about books and reading! Kirsti Brady Teacher Librarian, JS iCentre Manager, Extension and Enrichment (Boost) Teacher
