Also on the night, a special presentation was made to Penrith coach Vanessa Jackson who has successfully coached representative teams at Penrith for 20 consecutive years! A huge achievement - congratulations Vanessa and we look forward to the next 20 years!

13.01.2022 Over the last two days a number of NSW sporting bodies have been in regular contact with the Office of Sport and NSW Health with regards to the latest updates. The attached has been prepared to illustrate to all community sport participants that a large number of sports (including Netball NSW) are working together with NSW Health to pursue the most workable outcome for the variety of circumstances involved in community sport. One notable mention on the attached document is t...he limited spectators at all community events. PDNA must stress that all players are to have only 1 spectator attend their match. If you have 7 players in your team, you must then only have 7 spectators. Siblings of players are counted as spectators please make alternative arrangements to ensure your child only has 1 spectator Siblings who have played in a different time slot are counted as spectators please make alternative arrangements to ensure your child only has 1 spectator Please remember this is a directive from NSW Health.
13.01.2022 We love to receive feedback, especially such positive feedback as below! :-) "Big shout out to the team at Eva Borys Swim School for making my sons birthday par...ty possible. After being cancelled 3 times due to covid & then poor weather, one phone call to Eva Borys & they were able to accommodate 40 kids for a last minute next day party! Incredible! We were so very thankful & blown away with how easy it was to organise given the zero notice. On the day we had two wonderful life guards who looked after all of the children & we had a pool full of smiling faces. Thanks so much for helping make a 2020 Birthday celebration possible! #LastMinuteLifeSavers! Thanks, Griffiths Family" See more

11.01.2022 On Friday night, Penrith District Netball had 2 winners in the Penrith Valley Sports Foundation Annual Awards. Sports Administration Award - Trish Conner Team of the Year - Penrith 13 Years 2019... SPORTS ADMINISTRATION AWARD This award is sponsored by Penrith City Council. PATRICIA (TRISH) CONNER NETBALL In 2003 Trish was elected the Competitions Manager at Penrith District Netball where she has ultimate responsibility for the preparation of all competition draws, carnival draws including a number of private school carnivals held at the facility. Trish is also responsible for the automatic timer, adjusting the timer each time when the length of fames is varied depending upon the age groups to ensure that all games are played within the local competition rules. Other duties include the purchase of trophies for competitions and carnivals, arranging their engraving and preparing the rosters for Canteen and Control Duty. As well as fulfilling her administrative roles at Penrith District Netball Trish is also the Secretary of the St Nicholas Netball Club, a position she has held for the past 30 years and prior to that Treasurer for a period of 5 years. TEAM OF THE YEAR This award recognises outstanding achievement by a team. Achievement in the sense of results with particular attention to the level of competition and the type of opposition. This year there was again a number of nominations who put in outstanding performances. PENRITH DISTRICT NETBALL 13 YEARS 2019 REPRESENTATIVE TEAM The Penrith 13 Years Representative Team won the NSW Junior State Titles in July 2019. They played 19 games over the weekend to win the State Championships. The team won 18 games and lost the other by a solitary goal. What made this overall performance outstanding was the fact that the team also won the 12 Years NSW Junior State Titles in 2018. On that occasion they also played 19 games in the Championship Division and went through that competition undefeated. Overall there are 80 teams in an age group at these titles however only the top 20 are seeded into the Championship Division. To win this competition two years in a row is quite extraordinary. The officials and players are: Head Coach: Julie Opie, Assistant Coach: Emma Thornton, Manager: Megan Oakes, Primary Care: Priscilla Quinlan, Players, Isabella Degei (Captain), Angel Tagaloamatua (Vice-Captain), Jayla Dicker, Matoisha Kalepo, Faith Luai, Sophia Meehan, Brooke Ryan, Jessica Ryan, Hayley Price, Jessica Stevens, Jada Taylor. Congratulations on an outstanding achievement.
