10.01.2022 Hello to all our golfing members! As the 2020 golfing season comes to an end, we are currently in the process of finalising the fixtures for the 2021 year. There will be some major and exciting changes in store for 2021 and some of these include: - To move the January 21 monthly medal away from the Christmas/New Year holiday season, we will be playing the January 21 monthly medal on Saturday 30 January 21, - With the other months medals, wherever possible we will be trying to... avoid clashing with other major events such as Club Championships and Easter Cup etc., so Monthly Medals may not be on the first Saturday of every month, - At present the clubs major events being the Club Championships and Matchplay Championships are essentially played back to back meaning almost 2 months of solid golf. We understand and appreciate the time taken to play these and with peoples time at a premium we have decided to move the 2021 Matchplay Championship to February 2021. Round 1 will be played on Saturday 13 February 21, round 2 on Saturday 20 February 21 and the final on Saturday 27 February 21. The formats and grades will be the same as 2020. The qualifying rounds will be the January Monthly medal on Saturday 30 January 21 and the February Monthly Medal on Saturday 6 February 21. The 8 qualifiers in each grade will be the best aggregate stroke scores of those players nominating from the 2 qualifying rounds. - We have combined the Parent Child Cup and Naggers Cup into 1 event called the Family Cup. This will be open to any combination of immediate family, eg, Parent/Child, Husband/Wife, Siblings etc. More details available in the playing conditions in the 2021 fixture book. There will also be less invitational days on Saturdays to ensure our loyal members can continue to get a tee time. Of course you can still ask permission of the Club Captain to invite members of other clubs to members only competition days (Saturdays) - though please bear in mind this will only be possible if there is available spots on a Saturday. 06.01.2022 This years Christmas Cheer event will be held on Sunday 6 December 20. It is a 1pm shot gun start. Cost will be $20 for members and includes golf and event prizes including hams, beer and wine. Non member visitors (with a GA Handicap) are also welcome at a cost of $35. Bookings are essential and can be done on line (any spot available as time does not matter) or through the pro-shop. Carts can also be booked through the pro-shop but please bear in mind these will be limited t...o 1 per group subject to availability. Get your team of 4 together and book online. Bookings are now available. This is a fun and enjoyable day for all and an opportunity to enjoy the Xmas spirit with your fellow members.

05.01.2022 The 2020 Matchplay Championships is now underway with Round 1 being played last Saturday 14 November 20. Results from Round 1 and the Semi Final draw can be seen below. Congratulations to the winners and good luck next week! It was disappointing the number of walkovers in Round 1. This is unfair on both the other players turning up to play in their match and also does not give an opportunity for another player to fill the gap. It was made clear in Round 1 on the Club Championships to nominate yourself to play in the Matchplay by placing an M on the scorecard IF you can play. Players also received an email of their allocated tee times. A significant amount of work by volunteers goes into organising these events.

It's time to break out the champagne as this means that there is no longer a cap on the number of guests you can have for your party bookings. This provides our Club Members and guests with more flexibility when it comes to celebrating with their friends and families over the Christmas period. In addition, the replacement of the 4-square-metre r...ule with the new 2-square-metre rule has allowed us to increase our venue capacity to 614 patrons. Combining newly renovated facilities, mouth-watering food, and one of the most breathtaking views in Penrith overlooking the golf course, Penrith Golf Club is the perfect venue to host your upcoming celebration or end of year Christmas event. 01.01.2022 Congratulations to our Major Pennant team who on Sunday in hot blustery conditions at Penrith won their Semi Final defeating Oatlands 5.5/1.5 after winning the away leg at Oatlands 4/3 back in August. This not only gets them into the Final next week but importantly gets Penrith Golf Club into Division 1 next year for the first time the clubs history! This is an absolutely terrific result for the boys and one to be proud of by a team consisting of Chris Lawler, Dale Hughes, ...Alex Platts, Jeff Gadd, Craig Montgomery, Wil Arnold, Daniel Smyth, Peter Morris, Blake Murray, Michael Organ, David Bishop and managed by Ian Gallagher. Well done boys! The final next Sunday 6 December is against Twin Creeks on the Gangurru course Riverside Oaks. Tee off is 10.45. Good luck guys!!!
