07.01.2022 "The COVID Testing Clinic at Koolyangarra Aboriginal Family Centre Cranebrook is great collaboration between NSW Health, Nepean Blue Mountains Health (NBMLHD) Aboriginal and Public Health Units and Nepean Community & Neighbourhood Services (NCNS) + the team at Histopath Diagnostic Specialists. This is a shout out to the healthworkers from the LHD and Histopath, and the community workers from NCNS - who are working together on the frontline and completing hundreds of drive-thr...u COVID tests. The workers are spending long days on their feet, outside in the carpark in full PPE - in all weather - sun/rain/frost. Thier friendly smiling faces, commitment, enthusiasm, and courage - have made COVID testing easy, and much less scary for people - especially little kids and bubs. Their courage and willingness to withstand the conditions - means people being COVID-tested can stay safely in their cars, then go straight home and get their results the next day. And that's keeping all of us safer. There are many more workers than those in this photo - and we say THANK YOU to all of them." An amazing story of courage from frontline workers aiding the Penrith community.
