18.01.2022 Penrith Rowing Club would like to thank all the volunteers that help our club run through so many different ways: coaching, teaching scull school and helping out at learn to row, admin, equipment and shed maintenance, raising funds, shed cleaning, towel washing, filling fuel tanks for the coaching tinnies, towing the boat trailer to regattas near and far, boat holding and generally helping out at the shed, the pontoon, regattas and BBQs... To each and every volunteer that su...pports our club we salute you for being so Oarsome! Happy Volunteers Week! Looking forward to seeing you back at the shed and on the water as restrictions ease. 17.01.2022 Nepean River is in flood. There is to be no rowing on the Nepean River using Penrith Rowing Club equipment whilst River is in flood. If you choose to row on the Nepean River whilst it is in flood, using your own equipment, we advise strongly against it for your own safety. The River is fast flowing under the surface with trees and bodies of cattle, kangaroos etc contained within. We will post updates. ... Squad rowers will do ergs and other land training. Squad rowers and those aspiring squad rowers please contact Charlotte on 0405146131 for land training information. There will be no Wednesday Scull School this week ie 12/2/20 at all due to flood. We will keep an eye on things and post later in the week about Saturday and Sunday. Cheers, Captain Fiona

17.01.2022 Hi here is the short list of dos and donts. More detailed stuff at shed. If you are not well do not come at all. If you have been diagnosed with covid-19 or in company with someone who has been, do not come at all. ... If you have not been observing social distancing, do not come at all. If you are well and otherwise not excluded : Arrive in rowing/paddling gear ready to row/paddle. No initial entry or final exit other than via side door into kitchen. No person who is not a rower/kayaker of PRC, PVCC or usual volunteer is allowed. Random public members wanting to use toilets are not allowed. Sanitize hands on entry or exit to shed. Sanitizer in kitchen near entry door. PRC rowers must sign in and out of diary which satisfies Covid-19 register NRC sign in Covid 19 compliant register where they normally sign in. PVCC members sign in their Covid 19 compliant register on black cupboard near entry into PVCC bay in shed. No communing or food prep in kitchen. No more than 4 people in the shed main at one time. No more than 2 in toilet areas. No communing in shed change rooms. Changing clothes if need be must be in toilet cubicle. Weird but true. No use of shed showers. Please ensure showering happens before and after row/kayak, but not at the shed. Shed rowers/kayakers can use urinal, toilets and hand basins. Hand washing is a must after use of urinal and/or toilets. Liquid soap is in each of the sinks in change rooms. They are there to be used. Rowers/kayakers single vessels only unless they are part of the same family/household then they can go in a double. No crew boats greater than a double/pair allowed. Social distancing 1.5 m in/or outside shed area and/or on pontoon to be respected. Get oars/paddles. Get single boat. Wash then dry them with own towel that rower/kayaker has brought with them. Towels are not to be shared. On and of water as quickly as possible. No hanging around. Boats and oars/paddles to be washed and dried with own towels. Equipment then put away swiftly and exit from building with towel used. Remember to sign out on covid register for relevant club. Any breach means shed can be shut by Council. Be respectful and responsible. Door code has been changed by council. Contact respective club captain/president for access code. No person who is not a current paid up member of their respective club should be given the code. There will be signs at the shed. Get over it, if you have an issue. It wont be forever. Thanks also to all our volunteers for helping raise funds so that we can buy nice new boats, the volunteers who coach our rowers, teach rowing and help out with BBQs, maintenance and general running of the shed and the club.

07.01.2022 The Nepean River is in flood as at 13/8/20 with water filled with tree branches etc. floating down the river. With more rain today and the release from Warragamba Dam ( last night) this will probably stay like this for next two days. There is to be no use of Penrith Rowing Club boats on the River this weekend 14/8/20 and 15/8/20. Any training/scull school etc on water is cancelled for this weekend. Those PRC members wishing to use their own privately owned boats, are of co...urse, welcome to do so, however please take extreme care. Safety is paramount. Cheers Captain Fiona
