19.01.2022 It is with great sadness that I share with you that Andy Tebbutt passed away on Sunday evening.Andy was the under 15s coach and had coached the team since the under 9s.He was also a part of this seasons ninth grade team playing with his son Bailey.Andy was a true clubman, a member of the management committee always willing to jump on a Barbecue or lend a hand where required.Most of all it was his rapport with the team that was most striking, his dry sense of humour and his no... nonsense attitude meant that he was well loved by the boys and respected by all who met him. I am very privileged to call him my friend and his influence over my family will never be forgotten.To Rachael, Bailey, Maddy and Ella I offer our deep condolences on behalf of the club. 17.01.2022 Style, technique & elegance. Just three of the words the team will never hear on the field. The inaugural caps were handed out, actually wide brim hats, and we bought them, but these are just mere details. The first eleven warriors took the field against Glenmore Park, to be accurate, there were 12 and Johnny Lester got the first kudos by stepping down and scoring - top man. We won..................the toss, we sent Andy Tebbutt in for it and we all know what a tosser he is. ...As a reward Andy and Bailey opened up. Andy got the team's first run before losing his wicket with the score on 9. Brian joined Bailey and the two put on 38 of which Brian got 28, including the team's first boundary. Wickets then fell steadily, only Bailey, Liam Lester and yours truly reaching double figures (did I mention my 6?) before succumbing for 88. In reply, Pat Rowan and myself opened up and had GP at 1/24 off 8, Vaughn took a wicket in the next over, 2/25 off 9 and that was about it with GP winning by 8 wickets in the 25th over. There was fun and banter aplenty and we'll do it all again next week. Now where are those bath salts. JT. See more

09.01.2022 The mighty RSL under 14s kicked off their season with a bang against St Clair Hawks, electing to bat first we only received 33 overs out of 40 but with Ritish (93 not out) and Connor (72 not out) opening the batting and putting on an unbeaten 202 partnership we were going to be hard to stop with some new members in the team looking to rip in with Adi openining up and bowling quite sharp (1-11 off 3) and we welcomed Mitchell back (0-7 off 3) and with Maddison looking good wi...th 2 -4 off 3, with the old firm of Akshat (2-0 off 4.1) and Ritish ( changing to leggies) 2-5 off 3 bowling well, Ethan looked sharp with 1-4 off 4 with Thomas restricted with a sore shoulder put them on the spot for 1-4 off 2 , Matty finished with 0-10 and the ever consistent Riley bowling tight with 0-3 off 3 . In the field we were positive and enthusiastic, which im sure will impress coach Coralee Brunsden .Maddison took 2 catches , matty , connor and Adi 1 each. 09.01.2022 Just a reminder final registration for the upcoming season will be held on Friday night at the Rsl Club in the Castlereagh Room from 6:00pm - 8:00pm .. Shirt photo day wil be held on the 9th of September from 11:00 - 1:00 venue to be advised. Season kicks off 16th September..
