25.01.2022 Brand new palisade fence were fabricating for a customer at Bondi Junction. It’s just been galvanised and having the cast iron pickets fitted before painting.

24.01.2022 (190903) Two sets of aluminium railings we have designed, fabricated and installed in the local area. These were unusual by having to be installed on the side of the stairs and also having an operable single gate one of the landing for access to the house. I have also mounted attachment lugs at set points for attaching a canvas awning to keep the sun and heat from the kitchen. The rails are very strong and fitted perfectly and look great.

24.01.2022 (191009) Insurance job. Replacement of fencing & gate on full frontage at Maroubra matching existing system after it was hit by a vehicle.

24.01.2022 A very small repair job we completed today on a window catch thats over 100 years old. We were told it was cast iron and on inspection found it was cast brass. I cleaned both ends and set it up for welding using a high content silver solder. It was precise welding as I did it without breaking apart to repair. I was very happy with the end result as it was as good as when it was first made! The customer was happy as it was an urgent job.

24.01.2022 These cast iron key friezes are off a 183 year old terrace house in Millers Point near the rocks. I have shown pictures of the old paint that has covered all of the fine detail of the cast iron design and after blasting showing the beauty of the patterns in there original look.

23.01.2022 (190207) Three beautiful window arches in wrought iron we designed, fabricated and installed in Gymea Bay south of Sydney.

23.01.2022 Three steel security doors fabricated and installed on a house at Hurstville Grove start of July. We keyed all locks the same. I used a stainless steel mesh on two doors because of the proximity of salt water. All doors hot dipped galvanised then two pack poly sprayed to avoid any interference with salt water. The customer was very happy with her doors.

22.01.2022 Forging 16mm square bars into a scroll design for a customer on the Northern Beaches. We love using the hammer when we get jobs like this.

20.01.2022 (200703) Preparations done on existing cast iron corners for new castings matching existing. Primed & ready to go. #castiron #restorations #goldenoldie #fretwork

20.01.2022 A beautiful lacework job I did at Wisemans Ferry overlooking the Hawkesbury river. I love these days when you can enjoy the drive and then have a stunning view while you work! Looked great when we finished and customer was over the moon!

20.01.2022 Cast iron corners and frieze for a heritage house at Agnus Banks in to repair. We blast removed the paint and welded them. Customer will re-coat them in epoxy paint and install.

18.01.2022 Wow!! Looks a million $$$! This is a job we have just completed in Lillyfield on a lovely home. We fabricated the fence and gate in aluminium after juggling different designs with the customer. I love the end result it really finished off the house nicely!

18.01.2022 130 year old cast iron hanging basket we have just repaired and sandblasted for a client.

18.01.2022 A cast iron balustrade restoration job that were currently half way through that will end up on the Great Western Highway at Mt Victoria. This is a bit over half a ton of cast iron so a formidable challenge to undertake considering the amount of broken casting we have had to repair. We were lucky to have a few sacrificial panels that allows us to replace missing parts. We are also replacing the old top railings and re pinning all of the castings so as to re install as originally done. Once complete all of the panels and parts will be sandblasted ready for the owner to paint.

18.01.2022 A forged back stay for a cast iron balustrade in Newtown just finished. I used our spring hammer to shape the solid bar onto upright! Looks a lot better than just welding it in!

17.01.2022 (191006) A full cast iron job we have just completed in Surry Hills including columns, balustrade, corners and frieze made to the BCA code of Australia.

17.01.2022 Industrial style internal balustrade installed in the lower Blue Mountains. We painted in a flat black finish. We used 50mm round tube as top rail and 50mm square mesh as pattern design. It fitted perfectly and looks fantastic!

17.01.2022 An interesting 130 year old cast iron hanging basket that I repaired that is a family heirloom. It was very fine welding again and had missing parts with a dozen or so breaks in it!

16.01.2022 (190705) A unique aluminium balustrade we fabricated and installed at Regentville. It was another one I had to design to side fix to the outside wall then turn and run accross the top of the landing and steps. Customer was very happy and it looked great when finished.

16.01.2022 This is an interesting job we have just completed for a horse stud at Agnes Banks in a heritage 1880 house. We had the existing lace corners and frieze repaired, sandblasted and sent to our casters for reproduction. There were a lot of parts cast to match existing. The job is being installed now so hopefully I can post finished pictures.

15.01.2022 (2658) Small 100mm curly scrolls! These smaller scrolls we do by hand so a long process if you lots to do!

15.01.2022 Cast iron columns, filigree corner and cast aluminium balustrade we have just completed. We repaired broken sections, sandblasted and two pack poly coated all in a deep Brunswick Green including all fittings. This job is the second part of works for an old 1880 house in Coogee area on the coast. The castings were badly affected by the salt water.

15.01.2022 This is the Bathurst panel complete! Just needs a lick of paint! You can see the fineness of the castings once sandblasted!

14.01.2022 A cast iron log splitter ram came in for repairs. It had snapped one side off completely. I had to clamp it back together and heat it up before welding with cast iron welding rods. Once welded internally I fully ground the opposite side out before building up again with over 30 weld runs. It was a slow process but works well.

13.01.2022 Full wrought iron job just completed at Blakehurst on the water. We finished in the dark and returned to grout all of the diamond core holes the following day. I matched the existing rail but with a couple of improvements. Its fully hot dipped galvanised. We used all stainless steel fixings on joins. It fitted to the exact millimetre! I was very happy as it was a very labour intensive job. This was also fitted to an old heritage sandstone cottage cica 1890 era.

10.01.2022 This cast iron panel has come from Bathurst for repairs. On close examination it has four missing parts and a lot of broken sections. It will be interesting to see the end result! Its a work in progress so will post finished pictures.

09.01.2022 This is one stunning piece of wrought iron! This gate would be at least 150 years old and was removed years ago from around the Rocks in Sydney and kept in storage till now. We had the pleasure of fabricating a new set of Old hinges and locks for its owner. He will be setting back in between sandstone pillars to hopefully operate another hundred years!

09.01.2022 I have sandblasted a left and a right cast iron corner that will be sent to our caster to duplicate. They will be used to complete a heritage house at Richmond. The castings would be 140 years old and look stunning. The new ones will finish off his house perfectly!

08.01.2022 Well.. another unusual request for a repair! This buggy had clipped a rural fence and buckled the front suspension badly. We were able to disassemble and do the repairs and get this beastie back on the track good as new!

08.01.2022 A sign bracket Ive just finished making for a winery at Mudgee. It will be holding a steel sign. I added Ornimental chains to suspend and hold it in the wind. Its 1200mm high x 1100mm wide and heavy! End result looks great!

07.01.2022 (200902) A sign bracket I’ve just finished making for a winery at Mudgee. It will be holding a steel sign. I added Ornimental chains to suspend and hold it in the wind. It’s 1200mm high x 1100mm wide and heavy! End result looks great!

06.01.2022 (191005) Two matching Wrought Iron grip railings I installed this time in Penrith in another 1880s house. I had a heavier top railing using a 50mm x 13mm half moon steel section. I had 20mm round solids as support posts. The installation was difficult because the stone steps were out of square a lot so I really had to juggle them to get a happy average with the end look. When we fabricate the rails we use a dummy base runner to support the railing at the galvanizers and the... painters. Its a real art geting them marked for coring! I was very happy with these and they were not a milimeter out of line. And they look great again complimenting the heritage house. See more

05.01.2022 Wrought iron steel entry door showing our methods and how we designed it copying the Californian Bungalow door.

05.01.2022 An unusual request for timber shutter window hinge. The original is the white one. We copied it near exactly. Its being used on an 1880 homestead at Agnes Banks near Castlereagh.

04.01.2022 (170708) One of many beautiful wrought iron garden arches we have made over the years. We fabricate, hot dip galvanize and powdercote them. They will last 100 years!! And look Great! We can make hundreds of beautiful designs or something you can design and will love.

04.01.2022 Brass fire screen came in for repairs. It had a missing base support as well and buckled on base on both screens! Came up a treat!

03.01.2022 (200707) Industrial style internal balustrade installed in the lower Blue Mountains. We painted in a flat black finish. We used 50mm round tube as top rail and 50mm square mesh as pattern design. It fitted perfectly and looks fantastic!

02.01.2022 Aluminium handrail completed in Penrith. Scroll patterns balanced nicely with existing post. Fitted perfectly, looks great and another happy customer!

02.01.2022 (200605) Three small tables we have made using 20mm ERW hot dipped galvanised and two pack polyurethane paint. We fitted supplied granite slabs. These will be placed on a balcony by the water in Pyrmont overlooking Anzac Bridge.

01.01.2022 (191002) A cast iron and aluminium balustrade fret work restoration job we completed in Paddington, Sydney just recently. We also stripped the old wrought iron doors and grilles re galvanized and powdercoated them. It was very satisfying to see the job complete and another happy customer.

01.01.2022 (190707) Another set of 3 forged brackets. There made to size to support a fireplace mantle. I used 50mm x 6mm flat bar and 16mm square bar and forge hammered the ends. Forged ends are all slightly different thats what makes them unique!

01.01.2022 (190602) An ornamental wrought Iron freestanding stair grip railing we fitted to a lovely heritage1880 house in Picton. We diamond cored this railing into sandstone 160mm deep and set with non shrink grout. I used 25mm square solid uprights for strength and set a twist midway for that old look. I also have fitted base cover feet to cover core holes. I used a half moon top railing and forged the ends then used smaller scrolls for strength and looks. Once finished you wouldnt know it wasnt a part of the house from 140 years ago!!
