25.01.2022 We've been quiet over the last few weeks as we get through the latest coronavirus restrictions, but we wanted to pop back up to share something important. Our wonderful founding convenor, Andrew Ogbourne, has decided to step down from the organising committee. If you've visited the garden over the last few years, you've no doubt met Andrew. He's a force of nature (pun definitely intended) who took our garden from a patch of dirt to a thriving community hub. Andrew took the i...nitiative to make contact with site owners, Shayher, and negotiate access to our wonderful historical space. Even in the early days when we had no council funding, Andrew would find creative ways to obtain supplies for the garden. Someone's Nonna has decided to donate a pile of soil? No worries - Andrew is there with a hired ute and a shovel. He's led exciting partnerships with local orgs like Reground, 3000 Acres, Honeyfingers, Bunnings and Moreland Council to name a few. Andrew's creativity and spirit have been such an asset to our group. He's always happy to muck in and do what needs to be done - whether that's pulling on the beekeeper suit, flipping sausages at Bunnings, or volunteering to syphon litres of revolting water out of the fish pond. After nearly four years, Andrew is taking a well-deserved break. He'll still be at the garden, with his trademark dry sense of humour, but he won't be doing emails and strategy. We're forever indebted to him for creating this place that we all love. The rest of the organising commitee will meet soon to decide our next steps. Please keep an eye out for our next update. 18.01.2022 We are temporarily suspending new membership applications until the Victorian lockdown is eased. We'll post again here when we can accommodate new members. Thanks for your understanding.

This has been generously provided by the good folks at Shayher, and we think you'll agree that it looks just wonderful. What a gorgeous post-lockdown gift!
