21.01.2022 Why do you need to trim your wick? Trimming the wick minimises the amount of smoke/soot coming from your candle. It lengthens the life of your candle and if you’ve trimmed the wick correctly, you will find your candle cools and hardens much more evenly each time you put it out. ... These wick trimmers pictured are on a better angle than traditional scissors, but if you don’t have a wick trimmer, scissors can do the trick! Trim the wick to 5mm, for every 3-4 hours of burn time (this timeframe is based on my large size candles). When trimming, always extinguish the flame, let the candle cool down to room temperature, remove any wick debris and trim the wick before relighting. Some soot is normal when burning soy candles, once the candle has cooled to room temperature, wipe any black from the inside of the jar with a damp cloth.

02.01.2022 How does a crystal infused candle work? Crystals promote spiritual, mental and physical healing and energisation. As the candle burns, the essential oils will heat up and activate. The crystals combined with the essential oils will harmonise, and crystals will sink down into the wax. The more you use the candle, the more infused it gets. When the candle has completely burned down to the bottom, you will be left with the crystals to keep. You'll also have a glass jar which you can repurpose as a succulent planter, a pencil tin, etc.
