22.01.2022 A busy time on a perfect day on the farm adding to the new veggie bed and closing it in, picking from the cherry tomato tree that’s gone berserk , trimming the driveway’s young red gum trees and moving the sheep and Coco to a greener paddock
22.01.2022 Let’s see what results we get this time in 21 days .... I have set the incubator up with 10 x Silkie eggs I bought today plus some of our own eggs which we are hopefully fertilised by Roger who is an Australorp - 4 Araucana X eggs, 8 x Isa Brown X eggs and 4 x Australorp eggs. Fingers crossed
17.01.2022 While I was cleaning out the chook house yesterday one of the girls decided to come into the feed shed to lay her egg in the hay. Roger came and watched and seemed to stand guard
08.01.2022 Our new rooster, Roger has settled in well with our six hens and loving his new farm life. Our hens are getting older and even though they will live here to the end of their days we need some new hens so over the next few weeks I will collect around 24 of their eggs to set up in the incubator
