25.01.2022 Starting a conversation in the essence of "social inclusion and support" during our "physical distancing" challenges at the moment. What advice and tips or questions does everyone have regarding the current challenges within our industry during these uncertain times. We have all received and seen the news reports and advice regarding what we should be doing to try and stay healthy and hopefully avoid or at least slow the infection rate but how are you all navigating the work ...and financial side of the issue, especially those that are freelancers or the recently made redundant. For myself personally, I am aiming on staying focussed, I have taken the time to assess, budget and plan what I can both in the short and longer term, ways in which to navigate through this. I suggest to take the time to do the same, review your finances, do a budget, work out your expenses, calculate your savings and how long this may last you, if you are feeling that you are going to be in trouble, contact your banks and financial institutions regarding what sort of assistance they can offer perhaps with your mortgages or loans. Contact your service providers and organise payment plans on your bills. Apply to Centrelink for assistance if you need to. Try and get on top of this now rather than allowing it to overwhelm you, we need to stay mentally healthy during this time as well, talk to your friends and family members about things too, perhaps they can help, or you can help them! No-one is alone in this, we're all in the same boat together! 10.01.2022 Happy New Year! I know a little late... but unfortunately the year hasn't gotten off to the great start I was hoping for with a close family member being rushed to hospital the first week, spending the first couple of days in ICU and a total of 10 days in hospital. Luckily they are now recovering well slowly at home. So apologies for being MIA and a shout out to anyone else who has started the year off under challenging circumstances and with the fires across our country there are many of them! Here's wishing a speedy recovery to these communities as well, and with the entire country and the rest of the world's generous support I know we'll get there!

09.01.2022 I simply can't believe that my business is a year old already... and WHAT A YEAR it has been! Certainly not what I was hoping for, 2020 held such promise back in January, but I'm not going to bang on about how tough it has been, because we have all had it tough this year, the whole world! What I do want to talk about is how THANKFUL I am and to express my GRATITUDE. Firstly to my absolutely awesome clients who have supported me throughout this frantic, crazy, panic stricken,... wfh (or wtf) pivot laden year, who have opened up to me and given me insight into their businesses and themselves, who have trusted my knowledge, experience and expertise in this industry. Whether they needed a Freelancer at short notice, or a new team member, they have shown confidence in my abilities to present not only the most qualified candidates, but people that will really make a difference in their roles and enhance their companies. Secondly to my candidates, you are all truly amazing people, who shared not only your hopes and dreams but also your lives and your fears and worries about finding a job during this insane time.
